24-25~~"This
is the interpretation, O king,
and
this is the decree of the Most High,
which
has come upon you . . . my lord the king . . .25~~
that
you be driven away from mankind,
{revolutionists will accomplish this}
and
your dwelling place be with the animals/beasts of the field,
and
you be given grass to eat like cattle
and
be drenched with the dew of heaven,
and
seven years/'periods of time' will pass over you,
until
you recognize that the Most High
rules
over the realm of mankind,
and
bestows it on whomever He wishes."
26~~"And
in that it was commanded
to
leave the stump with the roots of the tree,
your
kingdom will be assured to you
after
you recognize that it is Heaven that rules."
27a~~"Therefore,
O king,
let
my advice/doctrine
{Divine viewpoint in Daniel's soul}
be
'extremely beautiful' to you.
{Note: One of the ways you can tell you are becoming spiritual mature is that God's Word will seem extremely beautiful to you. Just as you might go across town to see a movie star or starlet, you will look forward to 'seeing' doctrine on a consistent basis (daily watering your fields is a good analogy).}
27b~~'Shatter
in pieces'/'Break away now from'
your
sins/iniquities
{you break the pattern of mental attitude sins
by metabolizing doctrine into your soul}
by
{doing} righteousness.
27c~~And
from your iniquities
{these are mental attitude sins being applied}
by
'being gracious'/'showing mercy'
to
the 'ones being oppressed' . . .
in
case there may be a lengthening/prolonging
of
your peace/prosperity."
{Daniel understands the prophecy says the king WILL go out,
but maybe the king can delay the inevitable}
28~~All this happened to Nebuchadnezzar the king.
29~~Twelve
months later he was walking
on
the roof of the royal palace of Babylon.
{Note: So apparently God graciously gave the king a year reprieve. Now he is back into mental attitude sinning.}

of the King}
30~~The
king reflected and said,
"Is
this not Babylon the great,
which
'I myself' have built
as
a royal residence
by
the might of my power
and
for the glory/honor of my majesty?"

31~~While
the word was in the king's mouth,
a
voice came from heaven, saying,
"King
Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared . . .
sovereignty
has been removed from you."

32a~~"And
'they revolted'

they will drive you from mankind,

you recognize {KNOW}
that
the Most High
is
ruler over the realm of mankind,
and
bestows it on whomever He wishes."
33a~~Immediately
the word concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled.

he was driven from mankind
and
began eating grass like cattle,
and
his body was drenched with the dew of heaven,
until
his hair had grown like eagles' {feathers},
and
his nails like birds' {claws}.

I,
Nebuchadnezzar,
'raised
my eyes from understanding from a helpless position'

clicked into his mentality! This is a recovery from his psychotic
condition - he believes now and recovers}
toward heaven,
and my reason/understanding
'kept on returning with answers' to me.
{Note: The answers came over time - not all at once. He believed, then built an edification complex of the soul. This took some time, but he learned about the grace of God!}

His kingdom endures from generation to generation."
{Note: Now instead of MY MY MY, it is HIS HIS HIS. The king has moved from eyes on himself to eyes on the Lord! This is humility.}

all the inhabitants of the earth
are
accounted as nothing . . .
{grace orientation - we are nothing, HE is everything!}
but
He does according to His will
in
the armies/host of heaven
{all spiritually mature believers understand the angelic conflict}
and
among the inhabitants of earth.
{Note: RBT says that if you do not understand or accept the angelic conflict, then you can be sure you do not have an edification complex of the soul.}
35b~~And
no one can ward off His hand
or
say to Him, 'What have You done?' "
{Note: A mature believer understands you can NOT question the judgment of God!}

my majesty and splendor were restored to me

the glory of my kingdom,

my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out.

I was reestablished in my sovereignty,

surpassing greatness was added to me."

I, Nebuchadnezzar,
praise
and exalt,
and
honor the King of Heaven . . .
for
all His Works are Doctrine/Truth,
and
His Ways . . . Just,
and
He is able to humble/abase
those
who walk in pride."
