Samuel
1``And
it came to pass, 2``Now the name of his firstborn was Joel. And the name of his second {son was} Abiah. They were judges {dictators} in Beersheba.
3``But
his sons 'Walked not in his Ways', And took bribes and perverted judgment.
4-5~~
Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations." {Note: They were UNIQUE but they wanted to be like the other nations apostate and miserable!}
6~~
But the thing displeased Samuel, And Samuel prayed unto Jehovah/God.
7~~And
Jehovah/God said unto Samuel,
For

8~~"According
to all the works which they have done 9~~"Now therefore hearken unto their voice.
However,

And
will set them to ear his ground,
13``And
he will take your daughters to be confectionaries,
14``And
he will take your fields,
15``And
he will take the tenth of your seed
16``
And he will take your menservants,
17``
He will take the tenth of your sheep.
18``And
you shall cry out in that day because of your king
And
Jehovah/God will not hear you in that day 19~~Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel.
And
they said, "No . . . but we will have a king over us
And
that our king may judge us,
21``And
Samuel heard all the words of the people,
22``And
Jehovah/God said to Samuel,
And
Samuel said unto the men of Israel,
