Psalms {Note: RBT says this psalm contains David's thoughts when he heard that the Absalom lead revolution from Hebron was taking hold. This was written as he made the decision to flee Jerusalem. This Psalm tells us of the necessity of doctrine in time of national disaster. And, it ends with the importance of using the Faith Rest Drill.}
{Verses
1-2: David's Prayer} {Note: The prayer is a picture of a righteous man taking his case to the Supreme Court of Heaven. He knows that only God promoted David to king and only God can demote him.}
1b~~Deliver
me 2~~For You are 'Elohiym/Godhead . . . my fortress. Why have You rejected me? Why must I go about mourning while the enemy oppresses me?
{Verses
3-4: Necessity of Truth in Time of National Disaster} Let them {the Light and Truth of God} guide me.
Let
them bring me to Your Holy Mountain
4a~~Then
I will go to the altar of 'Elohiym/Godhead . . . {Note: As with Paul later, David has LEARNED to be happy regardless his circumstances. Here he recognizes the source of his happiness - God and His Word.}
4b~~Yes,
and give thanks to you on the harp,
{Verses
5: Necessity of Faith Rest Drill} And why are you disturbed within me? Trust in God under pressure {Faith Rest Drill}.
Then
I shall yet give praise to Him, {Note: David knows that all he is, is a gift from God. His promotion to king was by the grace of God and he will not be demoted unless God permits it.}
