Psalms
Chapter
68
{A
Psalm of Prosperity}
1a``{Title}To
the 'Chief Musician'/'Choir Director' {natsach}
a
psalm {mizmowr} . . .
a
'spontaneous song' {shiyr - from happiness} . . .
of
David.
1b~~Let
'Elohiym/Godhead arise/'go into action'.
{the integrity of God is the source of all blessings and cursing
(discipline) from God}
Let
His enemies be scattered
{by the function of the justice of God}.
Let
also those who hate Him . . . flee before Him.
{unbelievers and believers in reversionism - particularly the
function
of evil under reversionism}
{Action
of Divine Integrity}
2~~As
smoke is driven away, so drive them away.
As
wax melts before the fire,
so
let the 'evil reversionists'/wicked {rasha`}
perish
before/'in the presence of' 'Elohiym/Godhead.
{Note:
David never went on 'personal vendetta's against his personal
enemies. On the personal level, you leave things in the hands of the
Lord. On a national level, David protected his nation through a
strong military. They are two separate biblical principals.}
{Salt
of the Land Principal - Thinking about the Pivot of Mature Believers}
3~~But
let the 'righteous ones' {tsaddiyq - plural} . . .
have
inner happiness.
Let
them demonstrate 'esprit de corps' before 'Elohiym/Godhead.
For
they have 'capacity for happiness' {suws}.
4~~Sing
unto 'Elohiym/Godhead.
Sing
praises to His name.
Pave
the highway {calal} for Him . . .
Who
rode through the desert . . .
Whose
name is JAH/YAHH,
therefore
demonstrate 'esprit de corps' before Him.
{The
Integrity of God Protects in the Land}
5~~A
father of orphans . . .
and
an advocate of the widows . . .
{these are the two categories of truly helpless people in a nation}
{is}
'Elohiym/Godhead in His holy habitation.
6~~'Elohiym/Godhead
causes the lonely ones
to
live in blessing in a house
{the house is the place where you take in doctrine -
a lonely person can take in doctrine with other positive
believers and they will find new 'family'}.
He
causes to lead out prisoners/'those which are bound with chains'
into
prosperity {more categories on helpless people}.
But
only the rebellious/'those perverse in evil'
lie
down in a sun burnt land.
{Note:
No matter how helpless you are, only if you turn your back on God,
will you be in a hopeless state.}
7``
O 'Elohiym/Godhead,
when
You went forth before Your people.
When
You did march through the desert.
Selah
{Selah means singers rest and instruments play on -
it is a picture of you resting while the Grace of God
continues on}
8``
The earth shook,
the
heavens also dropped at the presence of 'Elohiym/Godhead. . .
even
Sinai itself was moved at the presence of 'Elohiym/Godhead,
the
'Elohiym/Godhead of Israel.
68:9``
You, O 'Elohiym/Godhead, did send a plentiful rain,
whereby
You did confirm Your inheritance, when it was weary.
10``Your
congregation has dwelt therein.
You,
O 'Elohiym/Godhead,
have
prepared of your goodness for the poor.
11``The
Lord/'Adonay gave the Word.
Great
was the company of those that published it.
12
Kings of armies did flee apace.
And
she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
13
Though you have lien among the pots,
yet
shall you be as the wings of a dove covered with silver,
and
her feathers with yellow gold.
14
When the Almighty/Shadday scattered kings in it,
it
was white as snow in Salmon.
15``
The hill of 'Elohiym/Godhead
is
as the hill of Bashan;
an
high hill as the hill of Bashan.
16``Why
leap you, you high hills?
This
is the hill which 'Elohiym/Godhead
desires
to dwell in.
Yes,
Jehovah/God will dwell in it for ever.
17``
The chariots of 'Elohiym/Godhead
are
twenty thousand,
even
thousands of angels . . .
the
Lord/'Adonay is among them,
as
in Sinai, in the Holy place.
18``
You have ascended on high.
You
have led captivity captive.
You
have received gifts for men.
Yes,
for the rebellious also,
that
Jehh/God . . . 'Elohiym/Godhead
might
dwell among them.
19~~Praise
be to the Lord/'Adonay,
Who
daily 'bears our burdens'/'loads us with benefits' . . .
even
the 'Elohiym/Godhead of our salvation.
Selah
{Selah means singers rest and instruments play on -
it is a picture of you resting while the Grace of God
continues on} .
20~~Our
'El/God. . . the 'El/God 'Who delivers'/'of salvation'.
And
unto Jehovah/God. . . the Lord/'Adonay
{belongs}
. . . the issues from death.
21
But 'Elohiym/Godhead
shall
wound the head of His enemies,
and
the hairy scalp of such an one
as
goes on still in his trespasses.
22``The
Lord/'Adonay said,
"I
will bring again from Bashan,
I
will bring my people again from the depths of the sea . . . 23``
that
your foot may be dipped in the blood of your enemies,
and
the tongue of your dogs in the same. 24``
They
have seen your goings, O 'El/God. . .
even
the goings of my 'El/God. . . my King . . . in the sanctuary.
25
The singers went before.
The
players on instruments followed after.
Among
them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
26``
Bless you 'Elohiym/Godhead in the congregations,
even
the Lord/'Adonay, from the fountain of Israel.
27
There is little Benjamin with their ruler,
the
princes of Judah and their council,
the
princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
28``Your
'Elohiym/Godhead has commanded your strength.
Strengthen,
O 'Elohiym/Godhead,
that
which You have wrought for us.
29
Because of Your temple at Jerusalem
shall
kings bring presents unto you.
30
Rebuke the company of spearmen,
the
multitude of the bulls,
with
the calves of the people,
till
every one submit himself with pieces of silver.
Scatter
you the people that delight in war.
31``
Princes shall come out of Egypt.
Ethiopia
shall soon stretch out her hands unto 'Elohiym/Godhead.
32``
Sing unto 'Elohiym/Godhead, you kingdoms of the earth.
O
sing praises unto the Lord/'Adonay.
Selah
{Selah means singers rest and instruments play on -
it is a picture of you resting while the Grace of God
continues on}
33
To him that rides upon the heavens of heavens,
which
were of old;
lo,
he does send out his voice,
and
that a mighty voice.
34``
Ascribe you strength unto 'Elohiym/Godhead.
His
excellency is over Israel.
And
his strength is in the clouds.
35``
O 'Elohiym/Godhead,
You
are terrible/awe-inspiring/respect-inspiring
out
of Your holy places.
The
'El/God of Israel is He Who gives strength
and
power
unto
His people.
Blessed
be 'Elohiym/Godhead.
