Psalms
1a``{Title}'To
the Chief Musician/ {Note: The psalms often begin 'to the chief musician'. But RBT says natsach in the piel stem means to the 'one who excels'.} 1b``A psalm for the sons/people of Korah. {Note: Korah was the son of Izhar, grandson of Kohath, great grandson of Levi and leader of the rebellion of the Israelites against Moses and Aaron while in the wilderness; punished and died by an earthquake and flames of fire. His heirs, however, became the great musicians of Israel.}

Righteousness
and prosperity {Note: A kiss is a tender expression of love between a man and a woman. One side without the other is not fulfilling at all. The natural and fulfilled state is when the Righteousness of God and His Prosperity kiss. So, the whole verse is a wonderful description of the expression of faith in Him (salvation by grace), the imputation of His Righteousness to the believer at the point of salvation, the consistent intake of doctrine/truth and therefore, again by grace, the spiritual growth to maturity of the believer. At the point of spiritual maturity, His Righteousness and Justice are free to bless you - so His Righteousness and His blessings meet . . . with a kiss.}
{Verses
11-13: 4th Distich in the Chapter} {Note: As a client nation of God, Israel was privileged to have God's Word. It was their responsibility to evangelize the rest of the world.} {Note: A 'distich' is 'a unit of verse consisting of two lines'.}
11b~~And
righteousness {tsedeq}
{Verse
12: Principal of National Blessing} {Note: The good here includes His Righteousness at the point of salvation, His 'divine viewpoint' to those who study His Word, and then His blessings to a nation with a large pivot of mature believers.} 12b~~And our land will give her increase. {Note: This is the principal of economic prosperity to an agricultural society. Economic prosperity in a nation depends of the size of the PIVOT of mature believers. When there are a large enough number of believers in a nation, then God if free to give His blessings to the entire nation. But remember 'To whom much is given, much is expected'.}
{Verse
13: Principal of Personal Blessing} {Note: Paul in Romans gives us a great dissertation on the difference between the self-righteousness of man (walking by the flesh) and using the Righteousness of God (walking by the Spirit) that was imputed to us at salvation.} {Note: Resident Righteousness desires Resident Doctrine. Until a believer brings in doctrine he is unfulfilled. The Church Age is the Age of 'All the Fullness from God' (Pleroma Tou Theo). We now have all the Divine Viewpoint that He knows we can absorb available to us. All we have to do is study.}
13b~~For
the purpose that he {positive believer} {Note: God does not bless until you have the capacity to appreciate the blessings. This capacity only comes after the imputation of Divine Righteousness at the point of salvation and then from Divine Viewpoint resident in your soul. Without the capacity, blessings (wealth, property, good looks, talent) are all 'vanity of vanities' or 'meaninglessness of meaninglessnesses'. They lead to frustration, insecurity, and great unhappiness.}
