Daniel
Chapter
12
{Verses
1-9: Future and Conclusion of Israel}
1a~~And
at that time
{the Tribulation - the future and conclusion of Israel -
began with the age of the Patriarchs, included the
founding of the Nation of Israel (age of the Law) and
will also include the Tribulation}
shall
Michael stand up
{means to go into action to defend Israel},
the
great prince
who
stands for the children of Your people.
{Note:
We saw in Daniel 10: that Michael is the arch-angel who is the
protector of Israel. He is the elect angel who can contest with Satan himself.}
1b~~And
there shall be a time of trouble,
such
as never was
since
there was a nation
{this indicates that before Israel became
a nation there were times that were comparable
to the horrors of the Tribulation - this is also
hinted in the first 12 chapters of Genesis}
even
to that same time {the Tribulation}.
1c~~And
at that time {the Tribulation}
Your
people shall be delivered {physical deliverance},
every
one who shall be found written in the book.
{Note:
All believers remain written in the book of life - so these are the
unbeliever Jews who went into the Tribulation and then became saved.}
2~~And
'the many' of them
{referring here to 'the many' - a reference to dead Jews}
who
sleep in the dust of the earth
are
caused to awake . . .
{referring to the bodies sleeping - RBT says the soul
retains consciousness}
some
to everlasting life,
{the believing dead will receive resurrection bodies
and live forever}
and
some to shame and everlasting contempt.
{refers specifically here to the unbelieving Jews who
are raised to go to the Great White Throne Judgment for
all unbelieving humans - where they will be condemned
to the everlasting Lake of Fire}
3a~~And
those who are caused to be wise
{these include the 144,000 Jewish evangelists
of the Tribulation - they become saved after the
Rapture and build an ECS very quickly - (great
pressure aids in quick development of an ECS)}
shall
teach/communicate/shine
{zahar in the Hiphil imperfect means to keep on teaching -
'shining forth what you have learned'}
as
the bright ones {reflected Light of grace}
{Jesus is the Light of the World - His Word is Light -
this refers to believers in the Tribulation with an ECS}
of
the 'inhabited earth'/firmament {raqiya`}.
{Witnessing
in the Tribulation}
3b~~And
those who cause 'the many'
to
'get righteousness'/'obtain +R' . . .
{are}
as the stars forever and ever.
{stars give off light in darkness - doctrine
is the Light of the world particularly in
times of trouble - which is maximized
in the Tribulation}
4a~~But
you and only you, O Daniel,
'close
down'/'shut up' the doctrine/words.
{Note:
This hints that Daniel had a lot more he could have reported, but
telling us this was not his job. Probably God was leaving for the
rest to be reported by John in the book of Revelation when the time
was right to do so. Principle is it is better to remember that we
need God, not the reverse - there will be others who follow who will
fill in the gap concerning details of the Tribulation.}
4b~~And
seal the scroll/book,
{the book of Revelation will take up the rest}
even
to the time of the end.
4c~~'The
Jews of the Tribulation
shall
carefully scrutinize and learn this doctrine'
{idiom: literally 'the many shall run to and fro'},
with
the result that
knowledge
{da`ath} shall be multiplied.
{da`ath - is doctrine going into the left lobe
where it can be applied to experience}
{Angelic
Question Starts Another Line of Questions}
5~~Then
I Daniel looked {concentrated his attention},
and,
behold, there stood other two,
the
one on this side of the bank of the river,
and
the other on that side of the bank of the river.
{Note:
Starting in Daniel 10:4 Daniel has been at the Tigris River. There
is an angel on one bank, another angel on another bank and Jesus
Christ is a Man in White Linen hovering over the waters of the River.}
6~~And
one {one angel on one bank}
said
to the Man clothed in White Linen,
Who
was upon the waters of the river,
{actually Jesus was hovering above the water}
How
long . . . {shall it be}
to
the end of these wonders?
{how long to the end of the Tribulation?}
7~~And
I 'heard, listened and concentrated on' {shama`}
the
Man clothed in White Linen . . .
Who
was upon the waters of the river,
when
He held up his right hand
and
His left hand unto heaven . . .
and
swore by Him Who lives forever . . .
{a solemn promise by God the Father}
that
. . . {it shall be} for a time, times, and an half;
{meaning 3 and ½ years roughly}
and
when he shall have accomplished
{the things in Daniel 11:36 to the end
of Daniel 11 or Daniel 9:27 and following}
to
scatter the power of the holy people,
{the Jews under the 5th cycle of Discipline}
all
these things shall be finished.
[meaning the Tribulation will come to an end}
8a~~And
I 'heard, listened and concentrated on' {shama`},
but
I understood not.
{clarification is needed - Daniel has not got it yet}
8b~~Then
I {Daniel} said,
O
my Lord/'Adown,
{the Man in White Linen IS Jesus Christ}
what
. . . {shall be} the end {of these things}?
9~~And
He said,
'Go
about your business and enjoy the
rest
of your life' Daniel . . .
{idiom: literally 'go your way'}
for
the words are closed up
and
sealed till the time of the end.
{Note:
Means that Daniel has been told all he needs to know. Daniel is over
90 years old, so his body is going. RBT says Daniel has been a eunuch
(castrated) since before he went into service for Nebuchadnezzar so
there is no family or wife waiting for him. His life IS God and His
Word and Daniel is very happy. Details do not make anyone happy.}
{Status
of the Jews under the 5th Cycle of Discipline - New Believers}
10a~~Many
{Jews}
shall
receive justified/purified,
{barar - Hithpael (usually is reflexive but here
is passive) referring to receiving justification
at the point of salvation}
and
'made white'/'receive cleansing',
and
tried/proved.
{the doctrine in the soul of all believers is proved
or 'tested under fire' - the Tribulation will be the
maximum amount of pressure testing}
{Status
of the Jews under the 5th Cycle of Discipline - Unbelievers}
10b~~But
the wicked {unbelievers}
shall
be caused/motivated to do wickedness.
{RBT says this is because there will be an
excess number of unsaved 'religious' people
the type of which have cause much sorrow
across the world and time in the name of
converting everyone the their 'religion'}
10c~~And
none of the wicked
shall
understand.
{Note:
This brings in the viewpoint of the unbeliever. Without a human
spirit, they are unable to understand spiritual matters.}
10d~~But
the ones being caused to be wise
{in the bible, to be 'wise' means to be a student of the Word
and have accepted Divine Viewpoint in the norms and
standards of the believer's soul}
shall
keep on understand.
11~~And
from the time
that
the daily sacrifice shall be taken away,
and
the abomination that makes desolate set up,
there
shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
{2,290 days - approximately 3 ½ years}
{Note:
So now we have a more complete picture. In the middle of the
Tribulation (after approximately 3 ½ years, the Beast Dictator
of the Revived Roman Empire will form an allegiance with the Jewish
Beast Dictator allowing the 'World Counsel of Churches to come to
Jerusalem. The Jewish daily sacrifice will no longer be permitted.
And, the abomination of desolation will be set up in the temple (this
is the point where Jews in Jerusalem are told no longer to run to the
mountains, but after this, they are to fight).}
12~~Happinesses/'Double
blessings to'
him
who 'waits under pressure with confidence',
{chakah - Piel intensive participle}
and
comes/touches {the Millennium}
to
the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
{2,335 days - 45 days longer then the previous verse}
{Note:
So for those believers who survive the Tribulation and make it to
the Millennium, they will have 'double blessings' or 'happinesses'.
They already share the happiness of God since they have ECS's. Now
they will also have perfect environment similar to Adam and Eve in
the garden. So they will have perfect weather and their right spouse.
And, initially everyone on the earth will be believers! And, the
earth will be ruled by the perfect King of Kings and Lord of Lords!}
{Note:
So after the Rapture of the Church, the new believers in Jerusalem
are told to run to the mountains without stopping. This portion of
the Tribulation will last 3 ½ years. At that point, the daily
sacrifice will end and the abomination of desolation will be set up.
Then an intensive 3 ½ years will continue when the Jews in
Jerusalem are told to fight. Then there will be 125 days for the
Baptism of Fire where all unbelievers will be removed from the earth
and the Jews will all be gathered to Jerusalem. Next will be 45 days
until the Feast of the Tabernacles where Jesus Christ is glorified.
This is 45 days into the perfect conditions of the Millennium.}
13~~But
you {Daniel}
go
your way/'live your life to the fullest'
till
the end be {the dying grace of Daniel} . . .
for
you shall rest/'have tranquility',
and
stand/'be resurrected'
in
your lot
{the part of the promised land that will be Daniel's}
at
the end of the days.
{Daniel will be resurrected at the end of the
Tribulation and then will have his just rewards}
