Habakkuk Chapter 03 {Note: Chapter 3 appears to be a psalm. 'Selah' means for the singers to rest while the orchestra plays on. It symbolizes how mankind rests, but the grace of God continues on.} 1a A prayer of Habakkuk, the prophet. 1b {Title} A 'dithyramb of madness' {shiggayown}.
2
O Jehovah/God,
O
Jehovah/God,
3a
'Elowahh/God came from Teman, Selah.
3b
His glory covered the heavens,
4
And His brightness was as the light.
5
Before Him went the pestilence,
6
He stood and measured the earth.
7
I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction.
8
Was Jehovah/God displeased against the rivers?
9a
Your bow was made quite naked, Selah. 9b You did cleave the earth with rivers.
10
The mountains saw You, and they trembled.
11
The sun and moon stood still in their habitation.
12
You did march through the land in indignation,
13
You went forth for the deliverance of Your people, Selah.
14
You did strike through with his staves the head of his villages.
15
You did walk through the sea with Your horses,
16
When I heard,
17
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
18
Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah/God,
19a
Jehovah/God Lord/'Adonay is my strength, 19b To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
