Psalm of David Going up the Steps of the Temple'

on each step, David would quote a verse, then move up to the
next step - a step at a time it is literally translated
'A Song of Degrees for David'}
1b``I
rejoiced when they said to me
"Let
us go into the House of Jehovah/God {Temple/Church}.
2-3``Our
feet stood inside your gates, O Jerusalem . . . 3``
Jerusalem
built up . . . a city knit together:
4``To
which tribes would make pilgrimage . . .
the
tribes of Jehovah/God
-
as was enjoined upon Israel -
to
praise the Name of Jehovah/God.
5``There
the thrones of judgment stood . . .
thrones
of the house of David.
6``Pray
for the well being of Jerusalem . . .
may
those who love you be at peace.
7``May
there be well-being within your ramparts . . .
peace/prosperity
in your citadels/palaces.
8``For
the sake of my kin and friends,
I
pray for your well-being . . .
For
the sake of the House of my brethren and companions,
I
will now say, 'Peace be within you'.
9``
Because of the house of Jehovah/God our 'Elohiym/Godhead . . .
I
will seek your good.
