Romans
Chapter
8
1~~There
is therefore now no judgment
to
those who are in Christ Jesus.
{Note:
The rest of sentence is not in recently found original texts.}
2~~For
the law of the Spirit of life {filling of the Spirit}
through
the agency of Christ Jesus
has
set you free from the law of sin and the law of death
{the Mosaic Law says the wages of sin is death see Galatians
Chapter 2}.
3~~For
the law {Mosaic Law} is powerless,
in
that it is weak through the sin nature,
God
having sent his own Son
in
the likeness of flesh of sin,
and
as a substitute for sin,
condemned
sin in the flesh.
4~~In
order that the righteousness
required
by the law might be fulfilled in us,
who
do not walk according to the flesh,
but
according to the Spirit {filled with the Spirit}.
5~~
For those that are in conformity with the flesh {old sin nature}
keep
thinking about the things of the flesh.
But
those in conformity with the Spirit
keep
thinking about the things
of
the Spirit {metabolized doctrine circulating in your soul}.
6~~
Consequently, the 'way of thinking'
about
the flesh is death
{2 of the 7 types - carnal death and dying discipline},
but
the 'Way of thinking' of the Spirit is life . . .
and
harmony {Harmonious Rapport with God}
7~~
Because the 'way of thinking'
about
the flesh
is
hostile toward God
for
it is not subject to the law of God,
neither
indeed can be.
8_
Moreover,
they
{carnal or reversionistic believers}
who
are in the flesh {under the authority of the OSN}
are
not able to please God.
9_
In fact, all of you {believers}
are
not in the flesh {under the control of OSN},
but
in the Spirit {Holy Spirit},
assuming
that the Spirit of God
indwells
in you {all believers}.
In
fact, if anyone {unbeliever}
does
not have the Spirit from Christ {Holy Spirit},
He
does not belong to Him (God).
10_
On the one hand,
the
body is dead
because
of the sin nature;
but,
on the other hand,
the
Holy Spirit is the unique life
because
of imputed righteousness {justification}.
11_
Now if the Spirit {Holy Spirit} of Him
Who
raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
He
Who raised Christ from the dead
will
also give life to your mortal bodies
through
His Spirit
Who
indwells you.
12_
Therefore brethren {Royal Family},
we
are not debtors to the old sin nature {the first husband},
that
we should live according to the old sin nature.
13_
Indeed, if you live under the authority of the old sin nature,
you
are destined to die {sin unto death}.
But
if by means of the Spirit
you
recognize as dead {condemn to death}
the
actions from the body {human works},
you
shall live
{the new life i.e. blessing from living inside the divine Dynasphere}.
14_
For as many {mature believers}
as
are being led by the Spirit of God {God the Holy Spirit},
these
are the mature sons of God.
15_
For you have not received again a life of slavery {to the OSN}
for
the purpose of fear.
But
you have received the Spirit of adoption,
by
Whom we keep shouting,
Abba,
Father {phrase used in Roman adoption ceremony, refer also
to Galatians 4:6}.
16_
The Spirit Himself {God the Holy Spirit}
testifies
together {confirms along}
with
our human spirit,
that
we are children of God.
17_
Now, if we are children,
we
are also heirs.
On
the one hand, {we are} heirs of God the Father,
and,
on the other hand, {we are} fellow heirs with Christ.
If
indeed, we suffer with maturity status,
that
also we might be glorified with Christ.
18_
For I conclude
that
the sufferings of the present period of time {maturity}
are
not comparable
to
the glory
which
is destined to be revealed to us {mature believers in eternity}.
19_
For the confident expectation of the material universe (creation)
waits
eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God
{believers receiving a resurrection body
at the Second Advent of Christ}.
20_
For the material universe
was
subordinated to futility {void of purpose},
against
its own will,
but
because of Him {God the Father}
Who
has subordinated it
in
time of hope
{the second when nature is redeemed at the Second Advent}.
21_
Therefore,
the
material universe itself
also
shall be set free
{reference to the change of nature in the Millennium -
Isaiah 35:1-7; 11:6-9; 65:25}
from
the slavery to corruption
into
the freedom of the glory {resurrection body}
with
reference to the children of God {believers}.
22_
For we know that the entire material universe {nature}
groans
along with us {mature believers in undeserved suffering}
and
suffers the pains of childbirth {analogous to a woman in labor,
in agony until delivery of the fetus}
together
with us until now.
23_
And not only nature
but
ourselves also {mature believers in undeserved suffering}
through
possessing the first fruits {blessing at maturity}
from
the Spirit,
even
we ourselves {mature believers}
groan
within ourselves {as per II Corinthians 12:9,10},
eagerly
anticipating the adoption . . .
the
redemption of our body {resurrection body}.
24_
For, with reference to that future expectation,
we
have been saved {for the purpose of having a future}.
Now
when a hope is seen
it's
not a hope.
Moreover,
who hopes for what he sees?
25_
Now if we {mature believers}
hope
{confident anticipation}
for
what we do not see
{eternal blessing and rewards for mature believers},
through
fortitude {perseverance}
we
stand in eager anticipation.
26_
And also in the same way
the
Spirit Himself {God the Holy Spirit}
gives
a helping hand
to
our weaknesses.
For
we {mature believers}
do
not know how to pray {in undeserved suffering}
as
we should.
But
the Spirit Himself intercedes for us {in our behalf}
with
groanings {anthropopathism}
too
great for words.
27_
And He {God the Father}
Who
keeps searching {investigating}
the
hearts/'right lobes of the soul'
knows
what the thinking of the Spirit is,
because
according to God,
He
makes intercession
in
behalf of saints {mature believers}.
{The
next section is the main difference between the teaching of Calvin
and that of R.B. Thieme Jr. Rev Thieme says his teachings can be are
described as 'Four Point Calvinists' (out of Calvin's Five Points).
Calvin believed God 'predestined' everything. Rev. Thieme says only
believers are in God's Plan and are therefore 'predestined'.
Unbelievers decision to not believe is based on their own free
volition. God knew what their decision would be, but allowed them the
free will to make their own decision -- and face the consequences of
that one decision!}
{Doctrine
of Election part V}
28-29~~
And we know
He
{God} works all things together for good
for
those who love God . . .
those
who are elected to privilege.
For
whom He has foreknown,
He
also did predestine to be conformed
to
the image of His Son
{Jesus had the prototype spiritual life -- we live the operational
type spiritual life based on Jesus' prototype}
for
the purpose that He {Jesus}
might
be the firstborn
among
many brethren.
{Note:
The firstborn is the ruler of the family, the priest of the family,
and receives the 'double portions' which in Jesus' case are 1) the
election of Israel and 2) the election of the Church Age believers}.
30~~
In Whom {Jesus}
He
{God the Father} has predestined . . .
these
same ones He has elected to privilege.
Furthermore,
in whom He has elected to privilege,
these
same ones He has also justified
{imputed divine righteousness}.
And,
those whom He justified {imputed divine righteousness},
these
same ones He also glorified
{ultimate sanctification - resurrection body}.
31~~Therefore
face to face with these things,
to
what conclusion are we forced?
{idiom: literally: 'what shall we say?'}
If
God is for us
-
and He is -
who
can be against us?
{Note:
The list starts with us - with negative volition and wrong
priorities in life - next are sources of temptations, old sin nature,
cosmic system, Satan, etc.}
32_
The God Who did not even spare His Own Son {Jesus Christ}
but
on behalf of all of us
He
{God the Father}
delivered
Him {God the Son}
over
to judgment
{imputation of all humanities sins to Christ on the cross},
how
shall He {God the Father} not also
with
Him {Jesus} . . . in grace . . .
give
to us 'the all things' {imputed blessing}?
33_
Who will bring accusation against the elect of God (believers)?
God
is the One Who justifies {vindicates}.
34_
Who is the One Who condemns?
{Answer}
Christ
Jesus is the One Who died
{spiritual death of Christ on the cross}.
Yes,
rather, having been raised {Christ raised from the dead}
-
Who is on the right hand of God -
Who
{Jesus} also petitions on behalf of us.
35_
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall
tribulation
{circumstantial pressure, historical disaster, historical
catastrophe},
or
anguish {mental pressure},
or
persecution,
or
famine,
or
nakedness
{no clothing for cold weather, no heat or nothing to warm the body
i.e. being deprived of the necessities of life},
or
danger
{physical or natural disaster e.g.. earthquake, hurricane etc.},
or
a sword {crime, violence, military disaster or revolution}
{separate
us from Christ}?
36_
As it stands written (Psalms 44:22),
"For
Your (Jesus Christ) sake
we
are being put to death {during the reign of Nero}
the
whole day {historical era in which Paul wrote}."
We
have been imputed as sheep for slaughter.
37_
Nevertheless,
in
all these things {dying blessing of mature believers in martyrdom}
we
win the supreme victory
through
Him {God the Father}
Who
loves us {all believers}.
{Doctrine
of Eternal Security}
38_
So I stand convinced,
that
neither death {any manner of dying},
nor
life {events of life},
neither
angels {lower ranks of fallen angels},
nor
the ruler of angels {Satan, as per Ephesians 6:12},
neither
present things {present suffering},
no
future things {anticipated sufferings},
neither
powers
{powers of human life, organizations, authority etc.} 39_
neither
height {heaven},
nor
depth (Hades),
nor
any other created thing
{anyone with influence over anyone else}
shall
be able to separate us from the love of God,
which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
{Note:
Eternal Security: Once saved, always saved!}
