Amos

There were 4 great prophets to the Northern Kingdom of Israel (the 10 tribes who revolted from the rule of Judah - since it was lead by the tribe of Ephraim it is often referred to as Ephraim) - Elijah, Elisha, Amos, and Hosea. They operated over a period of about 150 years.

Elijah was from circa 871 to 851 BC.

Elisha was 845 BC and following.

Amos was 787 BC.

Hosea was 746 BC.

The historical account of the administration of the 5th cycle of discipline to the Northern Kingdom is found in II Kings Chapter 17.

Chapter 1
1``The words of Amos,
who was a sheep breeder from Tekoa,
who prophesized concerning Israel
in the days of kings Uzziah of Judah,
and Jeroboam,
son of Joash of Israel,
two years before the earthquake.

2`` And he proclaimed,
"Jehovah/God keeps on roaring from Zion . . .
Shouts aloud from Jerusalem;
and the pastures of the shepherds shall languish,
and the summit of Carmel shall wither."

{Note: This verse is a quote from Joel Chapter 3:16.}

3 Thus said Jehovah/God,
"For three transgressions of Damascus . . . and for four . . .
I will not revoke/'turn away' the punishment thereof . . .
because they threshed Gilead
with threshing boards/instruments of iron.

4 I will send down fire upon the palace of Hazael,
which shall devour the fortresses of Ben-hadad.

5`` I will break the gate-bars of Damascus,
and whip-out/cut-off the inhabitant from the Vale/plain of Aven,
and the sceptered ruler of Beth-eden
 and the people of Aram/Syria {'Aram}
shall be exiled unto Kir," said Jehovah/God.

6`` Thus said Jehovah/God,
"For three transgressions of Gaza . . . and for four . . .
I will not revoke it . . .
because they exiled an entire population . . .
which they delivered to Edom.

7 I {God} will send a fire on the wall of Gaza,
which shall devour its fortresses.

8 And I will wipe out the inhabitant from Ashdod,
and the sceptered ruler Ashkelon.

And I will turn My hand against Ekron,
and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish,"
said the Lord/'Adonay . . . Jehovah/God.

9 Thus said Jehovah/God,
"For three transgressions of Tyrus . . . and for four . . .
I will not revoke it . . .
because they handed over
an entire population to Edom
ignoring the covenant of brotherhood.

10 I {God} will send a fire upon the wall of Tyrus,
and it shall devour its fortresses.

11 Thus said Jehovah/God,
"For three transgressions of Edom . . . and for four . . .
I will not revoke it . . .
because he pursued his brother with the sword,
and repressed all pity,
because his anger raged unceasingly,
and his fury stormed unchecked.

12 I {God} will send a fire upon Teman,
which shall devour the fortresses of Bozrah.

13~~ This what Jehovah/God communicates
about the three transgressions of the Ammonites . . .
even four . . .
{RBT says 3 sins are rejection of three categories of Truth -
establishment, salvation, and doctrine - and the fourth sin
  is entering the system of interlocking systems of arrogance}

and, I {God} will not revoke it {my punishment} . . .

because they have ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead
{they raped all the non-pregnant ones and killed the pregnant
  ones},

and, by this, they sought to extend their boarders.

14~~Therefore, I {God} will set fire to the wall of Rabbah,
and it shall consume its citadels/fortresses
{prophecy of what David did - see II Samuel Chapter 12},
amid war cries on the day of battle . . .
amid violent winds . . . on a stormy day.

15~~Her king will go down . . .
he and his officials together and his officers,"
said Jehovah/God.
