Deuteronomy
Chapter
6
1
Now these are the commandments,
the
statutes, and the judgments,
which
Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead
commanded
to teach you,
that
you might do them in the land
where
you go to possess it.
2
That you might fear Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead,
to
keep all His statutes and His commandments,
which
I command you,
you,
and your son, and your son's son,
all
the days of your life;
and
that your days may be prolonged.
3
Hear therefore, O Israel,
and
observe to do it; that it may be well with you,
and
that you may increase mightily,
as
Jehovah/God 'Elohiym/Godhead of your fathers
has
promised you,
in
the land that flows with milk and honey.
{See
Revelation 1. 7 on the Alpha and Omega Glories of Christ}
4~~"
Hear, O Israel . . .
Jehovah/God
. . .
{is}
our 'Elohiym/Godhead {one essence - Alpha Glory};
Jehovah/God
is Unique/One
{Jesus Christ- the manifest member of the essence of God -
Omega Glory - one in the sense of being unique - Jesus is different
from the other members of the Godhead}".
{Note:
Revelation 1: 8 tells us Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. The Alpha
Glory is the Godhead as One Essence. Jesus Christ as the 2nd member
of the Godhead - coequal with the other two members is true deity.
The Omega Glory is Jesus Christ in Hypostatic Union. True deity and
true humanity in one. The unique person in the universe.}
{Note:
See Romans 9:32. Chapter 9 of Romans really explains this verse more
fully. The Jews recognize the Alpha Glory, but reject His Omega Glory
- and they stumble over Him - the Rock of Ages.}
5~~"And
you shall love Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead
with
all your 'right lobe'/heart {mentality in the soul},
and
with all your soul {right lobe love must come first},
and
with all your excess/force/ability {ability given through doctrine}."
6-7~~"And
these words/'doctrinal communications' {dabar},
which
I am commanding you today,
shall
be on your 'right lobe'/heart
{doctrines in the soul}
and
you shall teach them diligently unto your sons (children),
and
shall talk with them when you sit down to eat
in
your house {privacy},
and
when you walk by the way {when traveling},
and
when you lie down
{doctrine for bed time stories},
and
when you rise up
{first thing in the morning also}".
8~~"And
you shall bind them
for
a sign upon your hand {teaching aids},
and
they shall be as frontlets
between
your eyes.
{means to be a reminder to learn and use doctrine}"
9~~
And you shall write them
upon
the posts of your house {blackboard with verses},
and
on your gates."
10~~"And
it shall be,
when
Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead
shall
have brought you into the land
which
He swore unto your fathers,
to
Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob,
to
give you great and goodly cities,
which
you built not {given to them by the grace of God}."
11-12~~"And
houses full of all good things,
which
you filled not {all by the Grace of God},
and
wells dug {water is from God} which you dug not;
vineyards
and olive trees, which you planted not
when
you shall have eaten
and
be full {food from Grace also} . . .12~~
then
beware less you forget Jehovah/God
Who
brought you forth out of the land of Egypt
from
the house of bondage."
{Note:
By the Grace of God we receive all things. DON'T FORGET THIS!}
13~~"You
will be occupied with Jehovah/God
your
Elohiym/Godhead,
and
serve Him,
and
shall make a solemn oath by His name
{synonym for Faith in Christ is salvation}. "
{Note:
See also Luke 4:7.}
14-15~~"You
shall not go after other 'elohiym/gods
of
the 'elohiym/gods of the people
who
are round about you . . . 15~~
(for
Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead . . .
{is}
a possessive/jealous God among you)
lest
the anger of Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead
be
kindled against you,
and
destroy you from off the face of the earth."
16``You
shall not tempt/test Jehovah/God
your
Elohiym/Godhead,
as
you tempted Him in Massah.
{Note:
This is quoted in part by Jesus in Luke 4:12
and Matthew 4:7.}
17
You shall diligently keep the commandments
of
Jehovah/God your 'Elohiym/Godhead,
and
His testimonies, and His statutes,
which
He has commanded you.
18
And you shall do that which is right and good
in
the sight of Jehovah/God.
That
it may be well with you,
and
that you may go in and possess the good land
which
Jehovah/God swore unto your fathers . . . 19
to
cast out all your enemies from before you,
as
Jehovah/God has spoken.
20
And when your son asks you in time to come, saying,
What
means the testimonies, and the statutes,
and
the judgments, which Jehovah/God
our
'Elohiym/Godhead has commanded you?
21
Then you shall say unto your son,
We
were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt;
and
Jehovah/God brought us out of Egypt
with
a mighty hand.
22
And Jehovah/God showed signs and wonders,
great
and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh,
and
upon all his household, before our eyes.
23
And he brought us out from there,
that
he might bring us in,
to
give us the land which he swore unto our fathers.
24
And Jehovah/God commanded us to do all these statutes,
to
fear Jehovah/God our 'Elohiym/Godhead,
for
our good always,
that
He might preserve us alive,
as
it is at this day.
25
And it shall be our righteousness,
if
we observe to do all these commandments
before
Jehovah/God our 'Elohiym/Godhead,
as
He has commanded us.
