Ezekiel
Chapter 23
{This
chapter is parallel with Jeremiah Chapter 3}
1-3~~
The word of Jehovah/God came again unto me
{communication of doctrine to a prophet}
saying,
2~~
'Son
of man,
there
were two women
{two Kingdoms - Northern and Southern},
the
daughters of one mother
{Israel - the Nation}. 3~~
And
they {two daughters}
committed
'fornication like a prostitute'
{zanah - hardened to the point of no fun}
in
Egypt.
They 'fornicated like a prostitute' {zanah} in their youth.
There
were their breasts touched/fondled,
and
there they fondled the beasts of their virgin bosom."
{Note: In this passage, God is using the doctrine of right man (RM) to right woman (RW) for right God (RG) and right woman/people (RW). The first client nation to God was Israel. She was His RW. But they got involved with Egypt and their worship of false gods. In particular, was the Phallic Cult - which was the worship of Baal. In the Phallic Cult, men and women had group sex, masturbation, and even child sacrifice in a furnace while they fornicated. So the act of fornication and adultery is being used as an analogy for spiritual adultery - idolatry. Israel was broken into two Kingdoms. To the North was Israel - the Northern Kingdom - capital in Samaria. To the South was Judea - the Southern Kingdom - capital Jerusalem.}

the names of them . . . {were}
Aholah
{means 'she had her own tent' - expresses the honest of her
apostasy}
the
elder,
and
Aholibah
{means 'My tent (doctrine) is in her}
her
sister.
And
they were my {God's RW},
and
they bare sons and daughters.
Thus
were their names;
Samaria
is Aholah
{Northern Kingdom},
and
Jerusalem Aholibah
{Southern Kingdom}.
5~~"And
Aholah played the harlot
{physical and spiritual adultery}
when
she was mine
{RW of God}.
And
she burned without satiability {`agab}
with
her lovers,
on
the Assyrians her dear friends, 6~~
who
were clothed with blue,
{impressed with the well dressed 'fast crowd'}
captains
and rulers,
{heads of state - men of authority or prominence}
all
of them desirable young men
{would include our movie stars and athletes today},
horsemen
riding upon horses
{status symbols - today got a nice set of wheels! Vroom Vroom!} .
7~~"Thus
she 'fornicated for fun' {taznuwth} them,
with
all those who were the chosen men of Assyria,
and
with all on whom she burned without satisfaction
{Wrong Man will not satisfy}
with
all their idols she defiled her
{means she became unclean - BOTH physical and spiritual
adultery in one package - Phallic Cult}.
8~~Neither
left she
her
'fornication for fun'
{taznuwth}
brought
from Egypt
{Northern Kingdom brought Phallic Cult in from Egypt}.
For
in her youth
{while in Egypt}
they
fornicated/'lay with her' {shakab},
and
they fondled her breasts of her virginity,
and
poured their 'fornication for fun' {taznuwth}
upon
her."
{refering to both physical adultery and false doctrines}
9~~"Wherefore
I have delivered her
into
the hand of her lovers
{free will - she wanted it, God permitted it},
into
the hand of the Assyrians,
upon
whom she was burning with insatiability."
10~~ "These discovered her nakedness {unclothed her}.
They
took her sons and her daughters,
and
slew her with the sword.
And she became a legend among women.
For they had executed judgment upon her."
{Note: What she wanted through mixing with the Assyrians was 'happiness'. The very thing she wanted destroyed her. Principal happiness can only be found for a woman with her right man. Happiness can only be found in category I through worship of the True God. To discover that happiness, you must 'eat from the Tree of lives' in time - study bible doctrine.}
{Southern
Kingdom worse because no Honesty - see also Jeremiah 3:10}
11~~"And
when her sister Aholibah saw this
{but did not learn from her sister's mistakes},
she
was more corrupt in her inordinate/fornicating love
in
her 'fornication for fun' {taznuwth}
than
her sister {Northern Kingdom}
in
her 'fornication for profit' {zanuwn}."
12~~
She was burning with insatiability
for
the Assyrians, her dear friends . . .
captains
and rulers clothed most gorgeously,
horsemen
riding upon horses,
all
of them desirable young men.
13~~
Then I saw that she was defiled,
that
they {both sisters}
took
both the same way {unfaithful}.
14~~
And that she increased
her
'fornication for fun' {taznuwth}.
For
when she saw men
portrayed
upon the wall
{refers to pornographic drawings},
the
images of the Chaldeans
portrayed
with vermilion.
{a red color - colored pornography}
15~~Girded
with girdles upon their loins,
exceeding
in dyed attire upon their heads,
all
of them princes to look to,
after
the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea,
the
land of their nativity.
16~~And
as soon as she saw them
with
her eyes,
she
was burning with insatiability for them,
and
sent messengers unto them
into
Chaldea.
{into the Southern Kingdom}
{Why
Fornication/Adultery is Unsatisfying - NO SOUL Involvement}
17~~And
the Babylonians
came
to her into the bed of love,
and
they defiled her with their 'fornication for fun' {taznuwth},
and
she was polluted/'became unclean' with them,
but
her soul/mind {nephesh}
was
alienated from them.
{Note: The women of the Southern Kingdom are entering into the Phallic Cult. In this they have sex with men who are not her right man given to her by God. This verse tells us that wrong men can possess her body, BUT they can NEVER possess her SOUL! That is reserved for her right man, so even with all the sex, she will be terribly unsatisfied!}
18~~So
she discovered her 'fornication for fun' {taznuwth},
and
discovered her nakedness.
Then
My Mind/Soul {nephesh}
was
alienated from her,
just
like My Mind/Soul {nephesh}
was
alienated from her sister.
{Note: Alienation here means God warned them both, chewed each out as they were being evil - divine disciple designed to bring them back to Him.}
19~~Yet
she multiplied her 'fornication for fun' {taznuwth},
by
calling to remembrance
the
days of her youth,
wherein
she had
'played
the harlot'/
'fornicated
like a whore for profit not fun' {zanah}
in
the land of Egypt.
{Note: This means that the Southern Kingdom is mentally remembering the Phallic Cult activities and in doing so, recreating the fornication and idolatry in their minds. In Jeremiah chapter 3, God tells us that the Southern Kingdom was WORSE then her sister in God's opinion. The Northern Kingdom was practicing idolatry but were at least honest in what they were doing. The SK was pretending to worship God, but mentally were back in the Phallic Cult. This is what Jesus called a 'whitewashed tombstone' - Looking 'clean washed'/good/faithful/religious on the outside, but spiritually dead and corrupt on the inside! }

For she was burning with insatiability
for
their paramours,
whose
flesh is as the flesh of asses
{little on the plump side},
and
whose issue/'discharge of sperm' {zirmah}
is
like the issue of horses.
21~~Thus
you called to remembrance
the
lewdness/evil/wickedness of your youth,
in
the fondling of your tits by the Egyptians
for
the bosom of your youth.
