Isaiah Chapter 49
1
Listen, O isles, unto me
Jehovah/God
has called me from the womb . . . 2 And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword.
In
the shadow of His hand has He hid me, In his quiver has he hid me.
3
And said unto me,
4
Then I said, I have labored in vain,
Yet
surely my judgment is with Jehovah/God,
5
And now, said Jehovah/God
6
And He said,
I
will also give you for a Light to the Gentiles,
7
Thus said Jehovah/God,
8
Thus said Jehovah/God,
And
I will preserve you,
9
That you may say to the prisoners,
To
those who are in darkness,
They
shall feed in the ways,
10
They shall not hunger nor thirst;
For
he who has mercy on them shall lead them,
11~~And
I will make all My mountains a road,
12
Behold, these shall come from far
13
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth;
14``
But Zion said,
15
Can a woman forget her sucking child,
Yes,
they may forget . . .
16
Behold, I have graven you Your walls are continually before Me. 17 Your children shall make haste.
Your
destroyers and those who made you waste
18
Lift up yours eyes round about,
All
these gather themselves together,
As
I live, said Jehovah/God, {Note: See Romans 14:11. This is a prophecy of the Rapture of the Church - that becomes the Bride of Christ in heaven.}
19
For your waste and your desolate places,
20
The children which you shall have, Give place to me that I may dwell.
21
Then shall you say in your heart/'right lobe', And who has brought up these?
Behold,
I was left alone;
22``
Thus said the Lord/'Adonay God/Jehovah,
And
they shall bring your sons in their arms,
23
And kings shall be your nursing fathers,
They
shall bow down to you
24
Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
25
But thus said Jehovah/God,
26
And I will feed those who oppress you
And
they shall be drunken with their own blood,
And
all flesh shall know that I Jehovah/God
