1-2~~For
which reason, holy members of the family of God
associates
of the heavenly vocation {full time Christian service}
concentrate
{katanoeo} on the Apostle {'the one sent Who is in authority'}
even
High Priest of our acknowledgement . . . Jesus 2~~
{Jesus}
being faithful to the One {God the Father}
having
appointed Him {appointed Him on the cross}
as
also Moses {was faithful} in his entire house {dispensation of Israel}.
{Note:
Katanoeo means to 'be thinking down on' . . . to concentrate on . .
. to be occupied with - in this case Jesus Christ - in your
soul
. . . which means in your mind.}
{Note: Acknowledgement is used here in the sense that we understand from doctrine that we are believers and are priests . . . and Jesus Christ is our Unique and Highest of High Priests - this is our acknowledgement of that.}
{Note: These verses start a comparison of the hero-ship of the two men. Moses' importance to the dispensation of Israel is being compared to the importance of Jesus is to the dispensation of the Church (and of course Jesus comes out WAY ahead!}

between a Hero and a Celebrity}
3~~
For example, this One {Jesus Christ} and Only this One
has
been permanently evaluated
deserving
of more glory than Moses . . . by so much as
the
One having constructed and furnished the house
keeps
on having more honor than the house!
{Note: Moses was a creation. He was part of all creation, which is the 'house' in the analogy. Jesus Christ as the creator of the universe BUILT and FURNISHED the house. Remember the writer of Hebrews is addressing this letter to the Jews. All Jews consider Moses great, but the writer of Hebrews is saying it is Jesus Who is great . . . the ONLY celebrity! One celebrity, many heroes.}

on difference between the Creator and Creations}
4~~
For every house is constructed and furnished by the agency of someone,
but
the One {Jesus} having constructed and furnished all things . . .
{IS} God.
{Note: Moses was one of the few GREATEST men of ALL time! But Moses is still a creation. In contrast, Jesus Christ was also a GREAT man on Earth, but because HE IS GOD, there is just no comparison between Jesus and ANY man!}
5~~Now
Moses, in fact . . . {was} FAITHFUL/ DEPENDABLE/ TRUSTWORTHY
in
the sphere of all his house {Moses was great in his dispensation}
as
a noble servant {'therapon' -a SuperGrace hero}
for
evidence of things which are about to be communicated.
{Note: A therapon means a 'noble servant or noble slave'. Doulos is the Greek word usually used in the New Testament for slave or servant.}
6~~But
Christ,
as
an Adult Son over His house {the dispensation of the Church}
Whose
house we are {believers in the Church Age}
'if
we hold fast'/'if we have in full and secure possession of'/ 'if we
steer
and maintain our course' - maybe we will, maybe we will not -
of
confidence {in doctrine} and
the
object of boasting {Christ}
of
the expectation {of becoming a bride - phase 3},
stabilized
{by SuperGrace}
unto
the end {death or Rapture}.

- Revolution at Meribah - Exodus Generation in Exodus 17: 1-7}}
7-8~~For
this reason therefore according as the Holy Spirit communicates
{Psalm 95: 8-11},
"This
day, if you will hear and
concentrate
on {function of GAP} His voice {doctrine consistently} -
maybe
you will, maybe you will not - 8~~
do
not go on hardening your hearts {negative to the intake of doctrine}
as
in the reversionistic revolution {Meribah (pronounced 'Mare - a -
baaa' means 'complaining')}
on
the day of testing {peirasmos} in the desert."
{Note: RBT said the SIGN of YOUR being in reversionism is 'do you complain?' If you are habitually complaining, you are in Meribah and will not enter the Promised Land of SuperGrace. SideNote: YOU are not to judge others! This is a test of YOURSELF only!}
{Note: Peirasmos means to test for the purpose of determining good or bad/evil.}

9~~"In
which place {Meribah}
your
{reversionistic} fathers {Exodus Generation} began
testing
Me {God} to determine good or evil in Me {in God}
by
means of testing to approve {dokimazo} Me
if
I {God} passed the test.
And,
they had a panoramic view of My productions {grace provision}
for
forty years."
{Note: Dokimazo means to 'test for approval' . . . as opposed to 'peirasmos' - in the previous verse - which means to 'test for the purpose of determining good or bad/evil'.}
{Note: This verse is idiomatic in the Greek. It means that the Exodus Generation would recognize God, IF He should pass THEIR test to THEIR satisfaction . . . a classic case of a generation in reversionism - and they would not 'enter into the promised land' - which represents SuperGrace (they were saved so are in heaven today).}

95: 8-11 continued - The Divine Reaction to Reversionism}
10~~"Because
of which {reversionism},
I
{God} was disgusted {to the point of provocation} with that
generation -
to
their disadvantage - and said,
'They
are always wandering {away from doctrine}'/
'being
deceived in their heart {reversionism in their mentalities}', and
they
have not learned My Ways {'hodos' - categories of bible doctrine}'."
{Note: Hodos - means a road or a path . . . which is also called the 'way'. Here it refers to the 'map' that identifies the path/way - bible doctrines.}
{Note: God is patient. But eventually, He is provoked to the point of provocation with a believer in reversionism and starts taking them OUT under the sin unto death!}

11~~"Therefore,
in keeping with the facts {given in previous verse},
I
{God} promised with a solemn oath {omnuo}
in
My disgust,
My
Name is Not God
if
they shall enter into My rest {double meaning - SuperGrace life and Canaan}."
{Note: This is an elliptical sentence giving an oath in your own name. Like today we say. "I swear by My Name/Reputation that I will do this". Here 'omnuo' means in the Greek to 'give a solemn oath by your own name' - therefore the fuller translation.}
12~~Beware
{be constantly ALERT!} members of the family of God
that
there not be inside any one of you
a
malignant heart of unbelief {reversionism - a heart/mind minus divine viewpoint/doctrine}
by
revolting from the always living God.
13~~But
keep on encouraging/exhorting self and others
on
each successive day {day after day after day}
as
long as in whatever place you are located
it
is called 'This Day' {idiom meaning everywhere}
that
NOT one from among you becomes hardened
by
delusion from sins {practice of reverse process reversionism}.
14~~For
we have become partners/associates of the Christ
if,
indeed, we retain and secure
the
beginning of our essence {daily function of GAP under SuperGrace}
stabilized
{in the SuperGrace life}
unto
the end {death or rapture}.
15~~So
long as it is being said {Psalm 95:8},
"This
day if you will hear and
concentrate
{function of GAP} on His voice {bible doctrine},
do
NOT go on hardening your hearts
as
in the reversionistic revolution {of the Meribah - pronounced like
'Mare - a - baaa'}."

16~~For
who having heard . . . revolted?
Did
not all having come out of Egypt through Moses?
{Note: Rhetorical questions. Yes virtually the entire adult population of the Exodus Generation revolted against Moses. Everyone except Moses, Joshua, and Caleb . . . possibly Moses' second wife and Aaron . . . almost everyone else was in reversionism. And, yes all came out of Egypt not because they earned it or deserved it! All by the GRACE of God!}

17~~Then
with whom was He {God} disgusted forty years?
Was
it not the ones having missed the mark
whose
dead bodies/carcasses had fallen in the desert? AFFIRMATIVE!

18~~Then
to whom did He promise with a solemn oath
that
they should not enter into His rest {SuperGrace/Canaan}?
{Answer}
Only those who were obstinate {reversionists}.
{Explanation
of the 5 questions}
19~~
So {in conclusion} we perceive
that
they were not able to enter in {Canaan/SuperGrace}
because
of lack of faithfulness {to God and the consistent intake of His Word}.
{Note: Switch to Attic Greek here - 'they were not able'.}
