II Timothy
Chapter
3
{Wrong
side of History - Increase in Reversionism-a Warning Verse 1}
1~~Now
be knowing this {a command}
that
in the last days {of a nation or a dispensation}
hard/perilous
times {disaster from reversionism}
will
be eminent/threatening/impending {distress - and this is a statement
of fact}.
{Characteristics
of Men/women on the wrong side of History (reversionists) - Verses 2-4}
2-4~~
For those men {reversionists under the influence of evil on the
wrong side} shall be:
lovers
of their own selves {Cosmic 1, gate 1},
lovers
of money,
boasters,
arrogant
ones,
slanderous
ones {blasphemers},
disobedient
to parents,
ungrateful
ones,
anti-establishment
types, 3~~
no
capacity for love {turn to pseudo-love instead - self-centered or
abnormal sex},
implacable
ones,
malicious
gossips,
without
self-control/self-discipline,
violent,
brutal ones,
haters
of divine good, 4~~
traitors,
thoughtless
types {no manners},
having
become puffed up with pride and exhaling {constant self-
promotion},
lovers
of pleasure rather than/more than lovers of God 5~~
having
and holding an 'external appearance'/'form of godliness
{eusebeia},
but
having renounced/repudiated/denied the power {the power of
being in the Divine Dynasphere of that same godliness}
also,
be turning yourself away/avoid from these {apostles of evil -
and this is a command for us to do}.
{Note: Eusebeia meant a 'duty to a god'. Paul used it to mean the 'balance of residency' which is the combination of the filling of the Holy Spirit and maximum doctrine in your soul - advanced Spiritual Growth/SuperGrace. However, in this verse Satan's men are counterfeiting God's Plan. The 'outward form of godliness' is the tool of the false teacher or apostle of evil. They use piety to appear godly, but are in reality hypocrites and the self-righteous type. The 'nice front' covers anti-God thinking and instead is the thinking of Satan's plan of Human Good and Evil.}
{Believers
who are seduced by the Apostles of Evil go into Sin and away from Doctrine}
6-7~~
For out from these {apostles/evangelists of evil}
are
they who worm their way into those same houses/'local churches', and
'taking
captive'/'leading away' silly women {suckers - reversionistic
believers - male or female}
because
having been overburdened with sins,
they
are carried away {prisoners of reversionism}
by
means of various categories of lusts . . . 7~~
always
learning {false doctrine and principals of evil}
from
someone else {evangelists of evil}
and
so {with the result} never able to come
to
the epignosis/full knowledge {doctrine in the right lobe}
of
the truth/doctrine.
{Note: The woman is the responder. When a person, male or female, is 'seduced' away from the study of true bible doctrine, they are in the analogy like a silly woman who is easily seduced away into trouble. Wise women are filled with bible doctrine in their norms and standards (conscience) of their souls. Women without doctrine in their souls are arrogant and easily led with compliments on their looks, etc. From their arrogance, they can be easily deceived into trouble as Eve was deceived by Satan.}
{Note: Their knowledge stays gnosis knowledge only -- academic doctrine never metabolized into epignosis. They never accept the doctrine they hear and it remains strictly academic. Only epignosis knowledge can be used in their decision making (using the norms and standards in the soul).}

8~~Moreover,
in the same manner
that
Jannes and Jambres {the wise men of the Pharaoh}
opposed
Moses {UltraSuperGrace believer},
so
also these {reversionist evangelists of evil}
reject
the truth {Bible doctrine} -to their disadvantage -
hence
they are men
having
{norms and standards of} corrupted mentalities . . . disqualified
ones {from the blessings}
with
regard to that doctrine {which they have rejected}.
{Note: The Latin writer 'Plenty' (sp) who lived 23-79 AD wrote in letters about Jannes and Jambres by name. Other writers of the day also name them as the wise men in the court of Pharaoh at the time of the Exodus. They were the wisest of men in Egypt and were scribes of hieroglyphics. As Paul indicates here, they were the chief opponents to Moses in Exodus 7:11 and surrounding.}
9~~But
they will make no further progress.
For
their own lack of sense {madness from reversionism}
will
be obvious to all men {their contemporaries in history}
as
also the opposition of those two {Jannes and Jambres} came to be.

10~~But
you {Timothy} have studied intensely {to our advantage}:
my
{Paul's} doctrine {didaskalia},
my
self-discipline {agoge - manner of life},
my
presentation {'protasis' - his lesson plan - purpose},
my
faithfulness {pistis - consistent intake of doctrine and sticking to
his teaching plan},
my
'tenacious steadfastness' {makrothumia - stability and
endurance},
my
agape love {filling of the Holy Spirit},
my
'in-fatigable endurance' {hupomone - to hold up under criticisms,
pain, annoyance . . . and not backing down or falling into self pity}.
{Plurals
change the subject in Greek Syntax - Now the Oppositions to be expected}
11~~
What categories of persecutions and sufferings {the shroud that
covers the UltraSuperGrace believer} . . .
such
as happened to me at Antioch,
at
Iconium,
at
Lystra,
such
persecutions I have endured
and
yet the Lord {God the Father} Himself
has
delivered me out FROM all of these.
12~~Furthermore,
all who keep desiring
to
keep living godly lives {eusebos - UltraSuperGrace status}
in
Christ Jesus {Positional Truth}
shall
suffer persecution {constantly}.
{Note: Eusebos is an adverb used as an adjective. It is the word describing UltraSuperGrace. The difference between SuperGrace and UltraSuperGrace is shown in this verse. The SuperGrace believer will experience sufferings and persecutions for growth. But, the UltraSuperGrace believer will ALWAYS be under intense suffering and persecutions and will carry them as a mantle of God's love and protection. Nothing will bother them. Nothing will affect their Relaxed Mental Attitudes. 'I have LEARNED to be content in ALL circumstances.'}
{Deliverance
from the Wrong side of History - Verses 13-17}
{Evangelists
of Evil}
13~~But
{in contrast} evil men . . . even deceivers
will
cut their way forward to more and more {evil}
deceiving
{others},
and
also being deceived {by Satan himself}.
{Deliverance
from Evil by the function of Grace Apparatus for Perception (GAP)}
14~~But
you however continue {abiding}
by
means of those things {doctrines resident in your soul}
which
you have learned {from the daily intake of doctrine}
and
you have received confidence
having
known with the result that you keep on knowing
from
whoms {in the Greek is plural - your pastor teacher and God the Holy Spirit}
you
have learned under academic discipline {manthano}
them
{the doctrine in your soul}.
{Note: Manthano means to learn under strict academic discipline. So the learning here is from the immediate source of your right pastor-teacher, but also from the ultimate source of God.}
{Spiritual
Heritage - Verses 15-16}
15~~And
you {Timothy} have known from {early} childhood
the
sacred writings {Old Testament Scriptures},
which
are able {have the power} to teach you {make you wise}
with
reference to salvation through faith
which
is in Christ Jesus.
{Note: This is a verse on Spiritual Heritage. Physical life begins as a baby and we all go back to Adam and Eve. Spiritual life also begins as a baby and we also go back to the source of our spiritual life - doctrine. Doctrine is your Spiritual Heritage. There are 4 prepositional phrases in this verse:
1) apo brephos - meaning a very small child like one nursing on the breast of the Mother.
2) eis soteria - meaning 'relative to salvation'. This is 'Common Grace'. This is the inhale of the gospel and God the Holy Spirit makes it real to you.
3) dia pistis - meaning 'through faith'. This is Efficacious Grace'. This is the exhale of positive volition. Faith.
4) en Christos - The object of your faith for salvation - Jesus Christ. It is through His work on the cross that salvation is possible. Union with Christ - eternal salvation.}
16-17~~
All scripture is God-breathed,
and
becomes beneficial for the teaching of doctrine,
for
conviction/reproof {recovery from carnality - rebound},
for
restoration {recovery from reversionism},
for
training in righteousness {total fulfillment of divine objectives in
your Spiritual life} . . . 17~~
in
order that the man of The God {any believer}
may
be proficient/'able to meet all demands' {adapted to SuperGrace
status - mature}
having
been well-prepared/equipped
for
the production of every divine good.
{Note: The inhale is God's exhale to the human author. The human author writes what God tells him to and that is the exhale.}
{Note: 16-17 in the old version sounds so good! ~~ 'All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness . . . that the man of God might be mature . . . thoroughly furnished unto all good works'.}
