11-13 Fourth Oracle/Dissertation - Broken Covenant and the Sermon on
the Girdle}
1-2~~The
word came to Jeremiah
from
the Jehovah/God, saying, 2~~
Hear
and concentrate and obey {shama` - word for GAP}
{a command to Jeremiah}
the
words of this covenant
{Mosaic Law - Ten Commandments and all sections of the Law},
and
communicate categorically {dabar}
to
the men of Judah,
and
to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
{Note: GAP is RBT's acronym for the daily study of the word - how we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - Grace Apparatus for Perception.}
3-5~~
And say you unto them,
"Thus
said the Jehovah/God Elohiym/Godhead of Israel,
Constantly
being cursed . . .
the
man that does not hear and concentrate and obey {shama`}
the
words of this covenant {the Mosaic Law}, 4~~
which
I commanded your fathers in the day
that
I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt
{God liberated them},
from
the iron furnace
{'body' slavery in manufacturing in Deuteronomy 4:20},
saying,
'Hear and concentrate and obey {shama`} My voice,
and
manufacture
{'asah - something from something - freedom from doctrine}
them,
according to all which I command you.
So
shall you be My people,
and
I will be your Elohiym/Godhead 5~~
for
the purpose that I may cause to establish the oath
{sh@buw`ah literally means 'number of seven'. Used when
making a covenant required seven 'sacrifices' or victims - so the
word came to mean oath}
which
I have 'solemnly sworn' Myself
{ shaba` literally 'to seven sevens' - a strong oath was made
seven times and was witnessed by seven people}
unto
your fathers {Exodus Generation - see part in Deuteronomy 30},
to
give them {God's purpose}
a
land abounding/overflowing
with
'fat in milk' {chalab - riches and wealth in agricultural society}
and
sweetness/'glutinous type energy'/honey
{d@bash - represents physical health prosperity},
as
it is this day {during reign of King Josiah}."
Then
answered I, and said,
'So
be it'/'That is Doctrine/Truth' {'amen}, O Jehovah/God.
{Note:
'Amen has three meanings:
as
a verb it means 'I believe it'.
as
a noun it means 'That which I believe or Doctrine/Truth'
as
an adverb it means 'Positive volition toward Doctrine/Truth'.
From
Deuteronomy 27:15, we learn that 'Amen is the appropriate response
to hearing and accepting the Word of God.}
6~~Then
the Jehovah/God said unto me,
"Teach
these things dogmatically/Shout
all
these words in the cities of Judah,
and
in the streets of Jerusalem, saying,
Hear
and concentrate and obey {shama` - word for GAP}
the
words of this covenant,
and
accomplish them/
'manufacture
something from something' {`asah}."
{Verses
7-8: Historical Precedent}
7~~"For
I kept on exhorting/teaching {`uwd `uwd}
unto
your fathers in the day {God through the ministry of Moses}
that
I brought them 'up out of a pit' . . .
out
of the land of Egypt
even
unto this day, {with}
'boundless
energy'
{shakam
- idiom literally means 'rising early to accomplish something'} and
exhorting/teaching intensely {`uwd -concept of intensity},
saying,
Hear and concentrate and obey {shama` - word for GAP}
my
voice {teaching Bible doctrine}."
8~~"Yet
they 'heard and concentrated and obeyed' not,
nor
'had no desire to do so' {idiom: literally 'inclined their ear'},
but
walked {yalak - behavioral pattern} every one
in
the hardheadedness/'scar tissue'/
'emotional
revolt of the soul' {sh@riyruwth}
of
their worthless/evil {ra'} 'right lobe'/heart
{here means the Old Sin Nature guides them - emotions overrule
bible doctrine in the soul - their mind becomes worthless and pulls
in human viewpoint}
therefore
I will bring upon them {those in emotional revolt}
all
the words of this covenant
{refers to cursing under Deuteronomy 27:15-26 and 28:15-48},
which
I intensely commanded them
to
do/'manufacture out of doctrine freedom/
prosperity/health'
{'asah} . . .
but
they did not
'manufacture
the blessings from doctrine in their souls' {'asah}."

9~~And
the Jehovah/God said unto me {Jeremiah},
"A
conspiracy is found among the men of Judah,
and
among the inhabitants of Jerusalem."
{Note: See the tragic Absalom Revolt in II Samuel 15:12-13 for how disastrous conspiracy can be. See also II Kings 15:30 and 17:5-6 is another conspiracy (in the Northern Kingdom) - destroyed the Northern Kingdom. This verse is a conspiracy based on the rejection of bible doctrine (see next verse).}
{Intense
Rejection Leads to Intense Reaction}
10~~"They
are turned back
to
the iniquities of their forefathers,
who
intensely refused to hear My words
{intense rejection of bible doctrine};
and
they walked after other Elohiym/gods to serve them
{idolatry of soul and then overtly}.
The
house of Israel {Northern Kingdom}
and
the house of Judah {Southern Kingdom}
have
caused to 'break in pieces'/annul/frustrate My covenant
which
I made with their fathers."
{Results
of Breaking the Covenant with God}
11~~Therefore
thus said the Jehovah/God,
"Behold
{concentrate on what I am saying},
I
will cause {this to come to pass} evil {5th cycle} upon them,
which
they shall {try hard but} not be able to escape.
And
though they shall keep on screaming to Me {for help},
I
{God} keep on not hearing them."
{Note: Technically, God is not the cause of 'evil'. When you operate outside His Plan - then you are operating in evil. The alternative laws to the Mosaic Law - in context - actually are what brings on the evil - or the 5th cycle of discipline here.}
{Last
Stage - Idolatry Mania}
12~~"Then
shall the cities of Judah
and
inhabitants of Jerusalem {all the Southern Kingdom}
keep
on going/walking,
and
keep on screaming {in a state of panic} unto the elohiym/gods
{idolatry
- violation of 1st and 2nd commandments - see Exodus 20}
unto
whom they offer human sacrifice {Qatar}.
But
they {the gods} saving . . . they shall not save them
at
all in the time of their evil {5th cycle of discipline}."
13~~"For
as many as are your cities
so
many are your gods become/'been created by you', O Judah
{they made them up and now they are praying to them -
emotional revolt of the soul}.
And
as many are the streets of Jerusalem
so
many altars have you set up
to
'The Shame' {bosheth - referring to Baal} . . .
altars
to burn human sacrifices to Baal!"
{Note: The word for 'the shame' is a take off of the word for Baal in the Hebrew. So here Jeremiah is pointing out the shame involved in idolatry.}
{God's
Message to Jeremiah}
14~~"Therefore
you yourself {Jeremiah} stop praying for this people,
neither
lift up a 'cry for help to Someone Who can help' {rinnah}
or
'intercessory prayer' {t@phillah} for them.
for
I {God} . . . nothing keep on hearing {shama`}
in
the time that they scream unto Me
in
the time of their evil {5th cycle of discipline}."
{Note: Jeremiah is an effective prayer warrior. God commands him to stop praying for these people - it is too late for them. When people reject doctrine, they have rejected the ultimate - what is there left to pray for?}
{Note: The Hebrew word for 'idols' also means 'nothing'. This is another play on words. They pray to 'nothings' and God will therefore 'hear nothing' when they pray to Him.}

15~~"What
has My beloved {Jews as God's Right Woman}
to
do in My house {being unfaithful}?
{idiom: literally: what to me . . . my beloved in my house?}
She
has manufactured
{'asah - something out of something - out of negative volition}
'thoughts
of mental adultery' {m@zimmah}
{sexual revolution as plot to destroy the Jews in view here}
with
'the many' {many acts with many different lovers},
and
the flesh of holiness/separation {Jesus Christ as Right Man}
{body of Right Man designed for RW - God for Israel in this analogy}
'passes
by/passes over'
{`abar - refers to 'Christ our Passover' is passed from you}
'upon
you'/'by you'.
Because
in your evil - at that time - {attitude of unfaithful Judea}
you
'shout in exaltation' {'alaz - meaning to shout in raising
hell}."

16~~The
Jehovah/God called your name {nation of Judea},
'A
Prosperous/Flourishing Olive Tree'
{represents client nation to God blessings - peace,
and prosperity and wealth},
beautiful
. . . fruit/production of great beauty
{refers
to the prosperity based on freedom
under Josiah - divine good}.
With
the voice of a great loud noise {disaster}
{people screaming as they are tortured, raped, defeated by
Chaldean Invasion}.
He
has caused to be kindled fire upon it {by not preventing it},
and
the branches of it {the client nation to God - Judea here}
are
broken/destroyed {5th cycle of discipline}.
{Note: If you do not follow God's laws, the alternative human laws come in and the 5th cycle of discipline sets in.}

Failure Always Involved in a Nation's Loss of Freedom}
17~~Jehovah/God
of the armies/hosts,
Who
kept on planting/establishing you
{every time they fought and won in battle - was by the grace of
God},
has
'communicated categorically'
{over a period of 40 years via Jeremiah}
evil/'5th
cycle of discipline' {ra`} against you {a grace warning},
for
the evil/'5th cycle of discipline' {ra`}
of
the house of Israel {Northern Kingdom}
and
of the house of Judah {Southern Kingdom},
which
they have manufactured/done {`asah} against themselves
{out of negative volition to God and His Word}
to
grieve/provoke Me
{God - administration of divine justice - 5th cycle}
in
offering human sacrifice {qatar - piel stem} unto Baal.
{Note: Jeremiah brings in the title of 'Jehovah of the armies' to indicate that the lack of men willing to fight for freedom brings a nation down. Ra' is the word for evil. Here it is used technically referring to going out under the 5th cycle of discipline.}

Against Jeremiah Revealed by God}
18~~And
the Jehovah/God {JHWH}
has
caused me to know {of the plot/conspiracy},
and
I keep on knowing it.
At
that time You {God}
caused
me to discern their treacherous deeds.
{Jeremiah
The Trusting Man of God - Mentally Slaughtered by Others}
19~~But
I and only I . . . {was}
like
a little, little tame lamb {stupid and naïve sweet family pet}
that
has been caused to be brought to the slaughter.
And
I knew not that they had
organized/plotted
an intrigue/plot against me, saying,
"Let
us cause to destroy
a
tree {referring to Jeremiah}
with
his 'staple food'/'basics for survival'
{Jeremiah's doctrinal content} thereof,
and
let us cut {karath} him off from the land of the living {kill him},
that
his name never again be remembered
{Jeremiah had been popular and well known}."
{Note: Dogs were not the pets of the day. Instead a tame little lamb was kept around as we do dogs today. The family pet was not slaughtered for food unless there were drastic circumstances. The family pet having to be slaughtered for food instead of receiving petting is quite devastating for the pet!}
{Note: Karath is the same word for a covenant. So God 'cut' a covenant with the Jews. And now they are trying to 'cut' Jeremiah out of the picture.}
20~~But,
O Jehovah/God of the armies/hosts
-
Who constantly judges righteously {shaphat tsedeq}
{shaphat tsedeq -
righteousness and Justice of God = Holiness = Integrity} -
-
Who tries/'tests for functionality' the emotions/reins
and
the 'right lobe'/heart
{do
your emotions operate under the authority
of 'doctrine in the soul'?} -
I
will see/perceive Your 'exercise of divine justice' {n@qamah}.
For
unto You have I revealed/uncovered
my
cause {all the conspiracies against him}.
{Note: Jeremiah put the matter in the Hands of the Lord - faith rest. He knows that God's essence is perfect. His Justice is perfect. Nothing he could do could possibly match the perfect justice of God.}

21-23: Local Conspiracy - Parentheses to Explain}
21~~Therefore
thus said the Jehovah/God
(concerning
the 'people' {'enowsh -male and female conspirators}
of
Anathoth {city of the tribe of Benjamin belonging to the priests
and Jeremiah's home town 3 miles north east of Jerusalem
overlooking the Jordan valley},
who
intensely seeking to assassinate you
{idiom: literally seek your soul/nephesh - meaning to separate
soul from body},
threatening/saying,
"Do not 'receive and prophesy'/
'receive
and forth-telling and foretelling'
{naba' in the Niphal stem: Jeremiah taught both parts of prophesy}
in
the name of the Jehovah/God
and
{if you do stop} you will not die by our hand".)

of Judgment on Anathoth Conspirators}
22~~Therefore
thus said the Jehovah/God of armies/hosts {tsaba'},
"Behold,
I will keep on causing to punish them {indirectly} . . .
the
men of vigor {bachuwr - strong and still in fighting shape}
shall
die by the sword
{conspirators in the Jewish army shall lose in battle}.
Their
sons and their daughters
shall
die by famine {loss of protection from their military men}."
23~~
"And a remnant shall not be of them
{Anathoth crowd of conspirators -
only 128 came back from slavery from Anathoth}.
For
I will cause to come evil/'5th cycle of discipline' {ra'}
upon
the men of Anathoth,
even
the year of their visitation {fulfilled in 586 BC}."
