Chapter
03 {Note: Job's friends were judging him in their thoughts - arrogant self-righteousness (this will be brought out soon). Job must have noticed their gradual change of attitude toward him. He must have added this to all of his other losses and finally cracked up - he failed as all of us do from time to time.}

Hebrew Poetry - 2-10~~And Job spoke, and said, 3~~ "May the day of my birth perish.
And
the night it was said,
May
'Elohiym/Godhead above May not light shine upon it.5~~ May darkness and 'deep shadow' claim it once more. May a cloud settle over it. May blackness overwhelm its light. 6~~ That night, may thick darkness seize it. May it not be included among the days of the year. May it not be entered into any of the months. 7~~ May that night be barren/solitary. May no shout for joy be heard in it. 8~~
May
those who curse days, curse that day . . . May the morning stars become dark.
May
it wait for daylight in vain 11-12~~Why did I not perish at birth? Why did I not expire/die {gava`} when I came from the womb? 12~~ Why were there knees to receive me? And, breasts that I might be nursed? 13-15~~For now I would be lying down in peace.
I
would be asleep and at rest 14~~

wasn't I not hidden in the ground

{in death} the wicked cease from turmoil;

small and the great are there {together in death};

is life given to man whose way is hidden . . .
