Song of Solomon

Chapter 6
[DJ]1~~ "Whither is thy beloved gone,
O thou fairest among women?
Whither is thy beloved turned aside?
That we may seek him with thee."

{Note: Concept here is because of her talking about her SL they want to meet him right now. This is the a good example of what Christians should do when they witness about Jesus Christ. If you love Him, that love will shine through.}

[SW]2~~ "My beloved is gone down into his garden
  {'garden' is SL's daily activities},
to the beds of spices
  {pleasant disposition},
to feed in the gardens,
and to gather lilies."

{Note: Shepherd is going about his job, enjoying it, and enjoying the details of life if you are well adjusted.}

[SW]3~~ "I . . . my beloved's;
my beloved . . . mine!
  {in each others soul}
He feedeth among the lilies."

[S continues without hearing SW's commentary]4~~
"Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah.

{Note: Solomon's royal residence - great beauty and symmetry - and saying she and palace go together-double analogy.}

[S]~~ "Comely as Jerusalem."
  {was a beautiful white city sitting in the hills}

[S]~~"Majestic as a military standard."

{Note: Which is beautiful for a military man to see -also was a system of communication in battle - wants a relationship with her}

[S]5~~ "Turn away thine eyes from me,
for they have overcome me."

{Note: Sense of humor - she is glaring and he says your eyes are overcoming me}

[S]~~ "Thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead."

{Note: Solomon is repeating himself}

[S]6~~ "Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep
which go up from the washing,
whereof every one beareth twins,
and there is not one barren among them."

[S]7~~ "As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples
within thy locks."

[S]8~~ "There are threescore queens {60},
and fourscore concubines {80},
and virgins without number."
  {the virgins take care of the queens and concubines - they
  are called the Daughters of Jerusalem}

{Note: Solomon is bragging on his harem}

[S]9~~ "My dove, my undefiled is but one."

{Note: SW is now one of the virgins.}

[S]~~ " She is the only one of her mother,
she is the choice one of her that bare her."

{Note: S says SW must have been the favorite child of her mother.}

[S]~~ "The daughters saw her,
and blessed her."

{Note: Solomon says the other DJ's saw her and were impressed.}

[S]~~ "Yea, the queens and the concubines,
and they praised her."

{Note: Same with the others of the harem}

[DJ]10~~"Who is she that looketh forth as the morning?"

{Note: SW is seeing SL coming in a chariot and responding to him and she is now glowing like the sun}

[DJ]~~ "Fair as the moon {reflecting SL's glory},
clear as the sun,
and majestic as an army with banners?"

[SW makes an excuse to leave S]11~~
"I went down into the garden of nuts
to see the fruits of the valley,
and to see whether the vine flourished,
and the pomegranates budded."

{Note: In other words, "I want to go walk through the garden".}

[SW]12~~ Before I knew it,
I was in a chariot beside my prince.
  {SL came to rescue SW from S}

[DJ]13~~ "Return, return, O Shulamite!"

[DJ]~~ "Return, return, that we may look upon thee."
  {DJ's exit stage and JQ enters}

[JQ to S]~~ "What do ye see in the Shulamite?"

{Note: One of the Queens is jealous. She can not understand why Solomon desires the SW over her.}

[S responds to JQ]~~
"As it were the company of two armies."

{Note: Illustration of a majestic vision - S believes SW is his 'right woman' - all that he wants in a woman - an may have been true but S blew it with his harem.}
