Egyptian Ministry}

1-8: Jeremiah reviews the Past Failures of the Jews}
{Verse
1-: Message for the Jews Also Scattering in Egypt}
1-3~~The
word came to Jeremiah from the Jehovah/God,
concerning
all the Jews who dwell in happiness/prosperity {yashab} in the land
of Egypt
-
who dwell in happiness/prosperity {yashab} at Migdol
{tower or fortification - the city of Magdalee and another border
town},
and
at Tahpanhes {see chapter 43},
and
at Noph {Memphis in lower Egypt (Hosea 9:6) now Cairo}
{famous for the Golden bull that Aaron manufactured - lots of
idolatrous activities},
and
in the country of Pathros
{Southern but 'higher altitude' Egypt so Upper Egypt was Southern
Egypt - Pathros was also known as the city of No}
saying,
2~~ "Thus said the Jehovah/God of the armies/hosts,
the
Elohiym/Godhead of Israel.
You
have seen and 'properly interpreted'/discerned { ra'ah}
all
the evil {ra' - technical for 5th cycle of discipline}
that
I {God} have caused to come to pass upon Jerusalem,
and
upon all the cities of Judah;
and,
behold, this day they are a ruins {chorbah},
and
no man 'dwells in happiness/prosperity' {yashab} therein
{as God willed that the Jews should live there in happiness} . . .
3~~ because {reason for the 5th cycle discipline being imposed}
of
their wickedness/evil {ra'}
which
they have 'manufactured {out of negative volition}' { `asah}
to
cause Me to be provoked to anger { ka`ac},
in
that they 'traveled under great adversity' {yalak}
to
'burn incense'/'human sacrifice' {qatar},
and
to come enslaved {in their souls} to other elohiym/gods,
whom
they knew/understood
{yada` - used for the function of GAP (divine viewpoint from bible
doctrine) in OT}
not
. . . neither they, you, nor your fathers."
4~~"Howbeit
I 'faithfully provided what was needed'/sent {shalach}
unto
you all my servants, even the prophets {Jeremiah and others},
'motivated
{spiritually} to rise early' {highly motivated to teach} . . .
and
sending them, 'saying what is on their minds' {'amar},
'Do
NOT manufacture {'asah - out of emotional revolt of the soul}
the
thing of this abomination
{idolatry, adultery and human sacrifice},
which
I {God} have 'righteous indignation'/hate
{sane' - anthropopathism of a human emotion applied to God to
explain His policy}.' "
5~~"But
they listened, concentrated and obeyed {shama`} not,
and
were caused not to 'incline their ear'/'negative volition'
{natah - emotional revolt resulted in negative volition to God
and His Word}
to
turn from their wickedness/evil {ra'} . . .
to
not burn 'incense'/'human sacrifice'
unto
other elohiym/gods
{one great sign of idolatry is the practice of human sacrifice
(another is mixing sex with religion - Phallic cult - fornication)}."
6~~"Therefore
{in 586BC}
My
fury and mine anger {5th cycle of discipline}
was
given and flowed out in concentrated form {very strong},
and
was burned in the cities of Judah
and
in the streets of Jerusalem.
And
they have become ruins and
desolation
as at this day.
7~~Thus
said {'amar} the Jehovah/God {2 titles follow} . . .
the
God of the armies/hosts
{commander and chief of Jewish military},
the
Elohiym/Godhead of Israel {concept of God's grace}.
Why
do you manufacture {'asah - out of emotional revolt of the soul}
evil
{ra'} against your souls {nephesh}?
By
destroying yourselves . . .
{idiom: literally: causing to cut off to the point of destroying
yourself}
man
and woman {adults in self-destruction} . . .
teenager
{'owlel} and 'younger children' {age 11 or 12} {yanaq} . . .
{adults in emotional revolt will spread to the older children}
out
of Judah
{out of the geographical will of God - indicates negative volition},
therefore,
leaving no remnant unto yourselves.

8~~Through
'vindictively grieving/provoking' Me
{expressed your anger by provoking} {ka`ac}
with
the works of your hands,
burning
incense/'human sacrifice'/'animal sacrifice' {qatar}
{in Egypt qatar was offered to Ishtar the goddess of love - so
phallic cult sex orgies}
unto
other elohiym/gods in the land of Egypt {other idolatry also},
whither
you have gone to sojourn/'temporarily live'
{guwr - indicates rationalization - not to stay permanently just
have a little fun and return - this passage indicates they 'thought
about doing it' long before they really did go to Egypt they were
negative to God in their minds for a long time before they really
practiced idolatry},
for
the purpose {real intent} that you might destroy { karath}
yourselves
{leave doctrine and you will eventually self-destruct} . . .
for
the purpose that you might become a curse {q@lalah} . . .
and
a reproach/'object of contempt' {cherpah}
among
all the nations of the earth.
9~~Have
you forgotten/neglected/disregarded
{shakach - represents last appeal of God's grace}
the
wickedness/evil {ra'} of your fathers
{general history of Judea and Phallic Cult idolatry and adultery},
and
the wickedness/evil {ra'} of the kings of Judah
{now look at the idolatry of many of the recent rulers like
Zedekiah},
and
the wickedness/evil {ra'} of their wives
{RBT says these 'men' are allowing their wife's to dominate
society},
and
your own wickedness/evil {ra'}
{men now have 'feminine souls' and don't care in emotional revolt},
and
the wickedness/evil {ra'} of your wives
{verses to come show women are running the show},
which
they have manufactured
{'asah - out of emotional revolt of the soul}
in
the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
10~~They
{change from You to They - 2nd to 3rd person but still
referring to them - Hebrew syntax means he is shouting - strong
emphasis - Prophet's indignation}
are
not 'crushed/trampled/re-oriented
{daka' - means 'no regrets' at this point}
even
unto this day {right now - people in front of Jeremiah},
neither
have they honored/feared
{yare' - expression of love for God},
nor
walked {way of life} in My law {towrah - used number of ways -
here means ' categories of bible doctrine'},
nor
in my statutes/'laws of establishment'
{chuqqah - statutes for believers and unbelievers alike}
which
I {Jeremiah} have given to your faces
and
to the faces of your fathers.
{Judgement
of Establishment Party in Egypt}
11~~Therefore
thus said
the
Jehovah/God of the armies/hosts,
the
Elohiym/Godhead of Israel.
"Behold,
I will set {firm decision of God}
My
face against you
{idiom for 'strong discipline' - sin unto death}
for
evil {ra' - 5th cycle of discipline},
and
to cause to 'cut off'/destroy {karath} all Judah."
12~~"I
will seize violently {laqach}
the
remnant of Judah {Mizpah remnant},
who
have set their faces
{same idiom as in verse 11 used for negative volition}
to
go into the land of Egypt to 'temporarily dwell'/sojourn there
{indicates they were rationalizing their decision - only resting in
Egypt - did not really go there to dwell permanently}.
And
they shall all be destroyed
{tamam - prophetic perfect - in the future but means consequence
is certain},
in
the land of Egypt.
They
shall fall {naphal}
by
the sword {chereb - violence, military death or both}
and
by the famine.
They
shall be destroyed,
from
the least even unto the greatest
{indicates inequality in society - but all will die},
By
the sword and by the famine they shall die {muwth}.
And
they shall become a curse
{'alah - special curse of sin unto death},
with
'absolute certainty of no assistance' {shammah}
and
a curse {q@lalah},
and
an 'object of contempt' {cherpah}
{getting people to 'feel sorry for you' ends with them having great
contempt for you}."
13~~"For
I will 'visit for the purpose of punishment' {divine discipline}
them
who dwell in the land of Egypt,
as
I have punished Jerusalem,
by
the sword, by the famine,
and
by the pestilence {mechanics of their deaths}."
{Note: These people were positive to God and His Word and were spared the fate of those who died in Jerusalem. But now they have turned negative to His Word and under emotional revolt of the soul have run to Egypt. They will suffer the same fate.}
14~~There
shall not be one 'escaped by flight' {paliyt}
of
the remnant of Judah,
who
went to sojourn/'temporarily dwell'
there
in the land of Egypt . . .
even
when they are lifting up their souls {nephesh} in intense desire
{idiom: 'lifting the soul' is the strongest Hebrew word for desire}
to
return to dwell there.
For
none shall return except such a few who shall escape {pallet}
{RBT says only ones who escape have an ECS}.
15-16~~Then
all the men who knew that their wives
had
burned incense/'human sacrifice' {qatar}
unto
other elohiym/gods
{participated in fornication and idolatry in Phallic Cult},
and
all the women that stood by {`amad}, a great multitude,
even
all the people {Jews}
that
dwelt {yashab - would not leave}
in
the land of Egypt, in Pathros, {were all over Egypt now}
answered
Jeremiah, saying/refuting {`anah}, 16~~
"As
for the doctrine {dabar}
that
you have spoken categorically unto us
in
the name of Jehovah/God,
we
will not 'listen, concentrate, and obey' { shama`} to you."
{Note: In emotional revolt of the soul, doctrine will be rejected so human viewpoint can be followed - next verse.}
17~~"But
performing/manufacturing, we will perform/manufacture
{`asah 'asah - doubling is very 'strong' - means out of emotional
revolt of the soul}
every
word/doctrine {dabar} that proceeds forth
out
of our own mouth {their own human viewpoint} . . .
{they had taken vows to the false god Astarte}
to
burn more incense/'human sacrifice' {qatar}
unto
the queen of heaven {Astarte},
and
were caused to pour out a libation unto her,
{nacak - heavy drinking is part of this idolatry - gave a drink to the
god first}
as
we have done/performed/manufactured {`asah}. . .
we,
and our fathers, our kings, and our princes,
in
the cities of Judah,
and
in the streets of Jerusalem
{rationalizing and distorting using Jewish history of apostasy and
idolatry - see also Judges 2: 11-13 Judges 10:6-8 on and on.}
For
then had we were 'satisfied with abundance' {saba`} of food
{idiom: meaning great prosperity and they gave credit to Astarte},
and
we kept on becoming prosperous,
and
we did not observe/see evil
{distortion
of situation under apostasy - prosperity was based on
the reign of Josiah not on their idolatrous activities - blessings
overflowed into horrible reigns of his sons - once a doctrinally
oriented establishment is set up, it takes time to destroy it}."
{Note: Astarte was the Hebrew name for the false god of love - like Athena and Venus. Along with Baal, she was worshiped by 'group sex', heavy drinking, child sacrifice, etc. in the practice of the Phallic Cult.}

Distorted Point of View in Reversionism}
18~~"But
since {in early days these people were saved}
we
had ceased to offer 'incense, human and animal sacrifice'
to
the queen of heaven {Astarte},
and
stopped pouring out libations/'drink offerings' to her,
we
have suffered need of everything,
and
have perished by the sword and by the famine
{they are still alive as they say this! Exaggeration}."

19~~"And
when we {feminine - women here}
burned
incense/animal/people {qatar}
to
the queen of heaven,
and
poured out libations/'drink offerings' unto her,
did
we make her cakes to worship her,
and
pour out drink offerings unto her,
without
{the permission of} our men/husbands/'right men'? "
{no, implies their men gave permission - and this ceremony was a
big sex orgy anything goes.}
20-21~~Then
Jeremiah said unto all the people,
to
the men, and to the women, and to all the people
who
had given him that answer
{indicates not all the people were negative}, saying, 21~~
"Did
not the incense which you burned in the cities of Judah,
and
in the streets of Jerusalem,
you
and your fathers {Jews as a people},
your
kings {rulers},
and
your princes {administrators},
and
the people of the land . . .
did
not Jehovah/God remember them
{their idolatry and punish them}?
And
came it not into His Mind/Heart?" {Yes, He punished them.}
22~~"So
that Jehovah/God was not able to carry,
{forbearing in grace over and over - but justice was demanded by
His righteousness}
because
of the presence of the evil of your deeds . . .
and
because of the abominations {human sacrifice, sex orgies,
and idolatry}
which
you have done/manufactured
{'asah - out of scar tissue and reversionism}.
Therefore
{because of apostasy and idolatry}
{it}
has come to pass your land . . .
a
desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse . . .
without
an inhabitant, as at this day."
23~~"Because
you have 'burned incense'/'human sacrifice',
and
because you have 'missed the mark'
{chata' - means a sin in the sense of rejection of bible doctrine}
against
the Jehovah/God,
and
have not obeyed the voice of the Jehovah/God,
nor
walked in His law {towrah - laws of establishments},
nor
in his statutes {chuqqah - down to the law of the land level},
nor
in His testimonies {like the witness of Jeremiah}.
Therefore
this evil {ra' - 5th cycle of discipline}
has
happened unto you, as at this day."
24~~Moreover
Jeremiah said unto all the people,
especially
to all the women,
"Listen,
concentrate, and obey {shama`}
the
doctrine {dabar} of Jehovah/God,
all
Judah who are in the land of Egypt."
25
"Thus said the Jehovah/God of the armies/hosts,
the
Elohiym/Godhead of Israel, saying,
'You
all and your wives
have
both 'spoken categorically your mind' {dabar} with your mouths,
and
vigorously fulfilled {male'} with your hand {doing idolatry},
saying,
'We will manufacture {'asah} out of our vows {neder}
what
we have vowed {'asah neder}
{`asah `asah and neder neder - doubling of words is very strong -
they intend to continue with the idolatry -saying they have given
their word to do so! They are using 'obligation' as an excuse for
idolatry!} . . .
to
'burn incense'/'human sacrifice' {qatar} to the queen of heaven,
and
to cause {be motivated to} to pour out drink offerings unto her.
Establishing
{quwm quwm}, you will accomplish {'asah}
your
vows {neder},
and
surely perform {'asah} your vows {neder}
{Jeremiah ends up with doubling of 'quwm, 'asah and neder - very
strong!}.' ' "
