Isaiah
Chapter
52
{Chapter
51 and 52 Are Great Messianic Passages
Subject - Encouragement to the People of God}
{Verses
1-12: Encouragement by the Regathering of Israel}
1``Wake
up! Wake up! {`uwr `uwr - Qal imperative - an order}
Put
on your strength, O Zion.
Put
on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city.
For
henceforth there shall no more come into you
the
uncircumcised and the unclean.
2
Shake yourself from the dust.
Arise,
and sit down, O Jerusalem.
Loose
yourself from the bands of your neck,
O
captive daughter of Zion.
3``
For thus said Jehovah/God,
"You
have sold yourselves for nothing;
and
you shall be redeemed without money.
4``For
thus said the 'Adonay/Lord . . . Jehovah/God,
My
people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there;
and
the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5``Now
therefore, what have I here," said the Jehovah/God,
"that
my people is taken away for nothing?"
"They
who rule over them make them to howl," said Jehovah/God,
"and
My name continually every day is blasphemed."
{Verses
6-7: The Principal of the Missionary}
6~~Therefore
My people
{Jews at the 2nd Advent}
shall
know My name.
Therefore
they shall know in that day
{verbiage to bring in the 2nd Advent}
that
I {Jesus Christ} am the One Who is speaking.
Behold,
here I am.
{Note:
Many Jews accept the Alpha Glory of God, but reject the Omega Glory
of Jesus Christ in Hypostatic Union. They do not believe Jesus was
the Messiah and are therefore like a woman in birth pangs who never
gives birth (they reject the baby). We find in Revelation that in the
Tribulation, the birth pangs will be even worse than in the holocaust
and their persecutions throughout the Church Age.}
{Beautiful
Missionary Passage}
7~~How
the feet {means of transportation}
of
him who announces 'the good news'/
'news
of the good of intrinsic value' {basar}
{a picture of the missionary moving out to spread the Word
in Greek that is equivalent to 'gospel' - it is the good news that
the Messiah has come - and salvation is now perfected}
have
become beautiful/'beautifully timely'
{na'ah - Pilpel perfect means something previously not beautiful
becomes beautiful the missionary moving out is a beautiful
sight -
the feet represent positive volition of the missionary regardless of
the lack of positivism of the listeners}
on
the mountains
{represents missionary overcoming all obstacles} . . .
who
causes others to hear the message of reconciliation
{between man to God - shama` shalowm - Hiphil causative stem -
this means to teach in a manner in which people will listen - in this
case the doctrine of peace/reconciliation}
who
announced the 'good news' about the 'coming good'
{doctrine about the 2nd Advent of Christ and Millennium} . . .
who
caused others to hear the message of deliverance
{for Israel} {y@shuw`ah}
who
say unto Zion
{used for the Jewish nation},
'Your
'Elohiym /Godhead certainly will rule/reign'
{prophetic perfect - in future but is so certain it is put in perfect
tense}.
{Note:
Paul quotes from this verse in Romans 10:15. The resurrection is an
essential doctrine in the evangelism of the Jew today.}
8``
Your watchmen shall lift up their voice;
with
the voice together shall they sing.
For
they shall see eye to eye,
when
Jehovah/God shall bring again Zion.
9``Break
forth into joy, sing together,
you
waste places of Jerusalem.
For
Jehovah/God has comforted his people,
he
has redeemed Jerusalem.
10~~Jehovah/God
{God the Father this time}
has
revealed {chasaph} His Holy Arm
{His Holy Arm is a Title for Jesus Christ}
in
the eyes of all the gentiles/nations.
And
all the ends of the earth shall see
the
deliverance/salvation of our 'Elohiym/Godhead.
{Note
In Psalm 19:1 Creation is called finger work. Jesus used a 'finger'
to create the universe. To go to the cross and be in Hypostatic Union
forever was HARDER - that is called 'arm work'. Arm refers to His
Humanity and Holy or sometimes the Lord refers to His deity.}
11``
Depart you, depart you,
go
you out from thence,
touch
no unclean thing;
go
you out of the midst of her;
be
you clean,
who
bear the vessels of Jehovah/God.
12``
For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight.
For
the Jehovah/God will go before you
and
the 'Elohiym/Godhead of Israel will be your rear ward.
{Verses
13 -15: Encouragement
By Occupation with the Person of Jesus Christ}
13~~Behold,
My Servant will be caused to prosper
{Jesus Christ - in His humiliation taking the form of a man}.
He
will rise up
{ruwm - referring to His Resurrection}.
And
He will be lifted up
{nasa' - here referring to the doctrine of His Ascension -
(the change of residence of Jesus Christ from earth to the Third
Heaven now in His Resurrection Body)}.
And
He shall be exalted to the maximum
{His complete and total Glorification in His Resurrection body}.
{Verses
14-15: His Beaten Body Compared to His Resurrection Body}
14-15~~Just
as many {Jews}
were
shocked/astonished/amazed
{ shamem - to be shocked from horror of how BAD He looked}
at
You . . .
{at how He took the punishment without a whimper throughout
the beatings, torture, and hanging on the cross - no crying out
- until imputed with the sins of the world - shamem perfect
future tense}
so
disfigured . . . more than any man . . . His appearance
{appearance of Jesus after His torture before and on the cross}
and
His 'outer appearance'/form more
{beaten to a pulp - terrible appearance}
than
'any other man' {ben 'adam}
{idiom: literally: 'the sons of man}; 15~~
so
shall He cause the startling
{nazah - this time a new word for startling is used to
represent this startling is from how beautiful He will look}
of
many gentiles/nations
{Jesus Christ at His 2nd Advent in His beautiful Resurrection body
is 'more than that of other men' as an analogy to how bad His
beaten body had looked on the cross}.
The
kings shall 'be speechless'/'shut their mouths' before Him
{qaphats - so shocked they can not speak}.
For
that which {the 2nd Advent}
had
not been communicated/
'told
in a high level briefing' {caphar}
to
them,
they
will see.
And
that which they had not 'heard, listened to, and obeyed'
{shama' - means to listen and concentrate on bible doctrine - they
chose not to}
shall
they discern for themselves
{biyn - under the empirical perception of the 2nd advent}.
{Note:
Paul quoted from this verse in Romans 15:21. This verse tells us
that throughout the Church Age and the Tribulation, there will always
be unbelievers. These unbelievers are astounded with the coming of
Christ so they are speechless.}
