Job

Chapter 05
{Chapters 4-14: The First Debate}
{Chapters 4-7: Debate with Eliphaz - Continues in Chapter 5}
1~~"Call now if you will,
but who will answer you?

And to which of the 'Holy Ones'/'Set Apart Ones' {qadowsh} will you turn?

{Note: RBT says that 'the Holy Ones' refer to the Trinity/Godhead.}

{Eliphaz Recites Correct Doctrines - But How do they Apply to Job? He is Off in Left Field}
2~~"Resentment kills the fool,
and envy slays the stupid.

3~~I {Eliphaz} myself have seen the fool taking root
  {implying Job is now in the 'fool' category},

but suddenly his house was cursed
  {as Eliphaz is assuming wrongly that Job's house is 'cursed for
  wrongdoing' of some sort}.

{Implying Job's Children Died also Because of Sin}
4~~His children are far from safety,
and they are crushed in court without a defender.

5~~The hungry consume his harvest,
and taking it even from among the thorns.

And the thirsty {tsammiym} pants after his wealth.

6~~For hardship does not spring from the soil,
nor does trouble sprout from the ground.

7~~Yet man is born to trouble,
as surely as the sparks fly upward.

8~~But if it were I {Eliphaz},
I would appeal to God/'El,
I would lay my cause before 'Elohiym/Godhead.

9~~He {God} performs wonders that can not be fathomed . . .
miracles that can not be counted.

10~~He {God} bestows rain on the earth,
and sends waters upon the countryside.

11~~The lowly, He sets on high.
  {lowly are those who are 'humble' - humble means to understand
  from doctrine in your soul ALL that God is and, when compared
  with Him, how small you are in that comparison}.

And those who mourn are lifted to safety
  {implication is Job is not being lifted to safety so he is somehow
  wrong in this punishment}.

12~~He thwarts the plans of the crafty,
so that their hands achieve no success.

13a~~He catches the wise in their own craftiness.

[Note: Paul quotes this in I Corinthians 3:18.]

13b~~And the schemes of the wily are swept away
  {implying 'Job were you a secret schemer?'}.

14~~Darkness comes upon them in the daytime,
and at noon they grope as in the night.

15~~But He {God} saves the needy from the sword of their mouth,
and from the clutches of the powerful.

16~~So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.

{Eliphaz Finally Vocalizes His Judging of Job -
  (Quoted in Hebrews 12)}
17~~Behold, happy/blessed {'esher} . . . {is} the man
whom God/'Elowahh corrects.

Therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty {Shadday}.

18~~For He wounds and He also binds up.
He injures but His hands also heal/'make whole'.

{Verses 19-27: Doctrine of Suffering and Dying Grace Rational}
{Promise of Deliverance of God To the Mature believer}
{Wall of Fire Principal of Logistical Grace}
19~~He {God} shall deliver you {Job and all mature believer}
from six disasters . . .
yes, in seven . . . there shall no evil touch you
  {wont slug you - in fact it will not touch you}.

{Note: This is correct doctrine. Eliphaz has apparently a lot of doctrine in his soul. However in judging Job, he has gone out of fellowship and is incorrectly applying the doctrine to this experience of Job. So much of this doctrine is very true - it just does not apply here to Job!}

{Note: RBT says 6 is the number that relates to man in the bible. 7 is the perfect number and represents Deity.}

20~~In famine, He {God}
shall preserve/redeem {padah} you from death
  {from economic disaster - dying grace}.

And, in war, from the power of the sword
  {from military disaster - death in battle}.

21~~You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue
  {social disaster - maligning - Eliphaz is demonstrating this principal
  right now!}.

Neither will you be afraid of violent death {shod}
when it comes {dying grace again - enjoy death}.

22~~At 'violent death'/destruction {shod}
and 'economic depression'/famine {kaphan}
you will laugh
  {not a nervous type laugh - a laugh from confidence in the
  situation that only comes from the 'absolute confidence' of
  doctrine resident in a believer's soul}.

Neither will you be afraid of the beasts of the earth
 {wild animals represented dangers from the environment of that day
  - today may also include a car wreck or plane crash}.

23~~For you will 'have a contract'/'be in league'
with the stones of the field
  {stones represented the weapons of war of the day} . . .
and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

{Note: Principal: No instrument of death can take a person until God permits it. When a believer has the understanding of this doctrine in your soul, then you can laugh at so called danger that can only hurt your body.}

{Dying grace}
24~~ And you will know that your tent {your body}
shall be in peace {while dying}.

And you will go home {to heaven},
and will not sin {end of the old sin nature}.

25~~You will know also
that you 'will be prosperous and mankind will continue'
  {idiom: Literally 'your seed will be many'}.

And your offspring
  {survivors must go on when a loved one dies}
as the grass of the earth
  {Idiom: meaning grass is cut down, but grass beyond number is
  still on the earth}.

26~~You will come to your grave
in a full vigor/age {kelach}
  {means at the correct time of God's plan . . . at 20 or 100},
like a shock of corn comes in its season.

{Note: Only God's timing is important. When a believer dies, it is perfect timing - as only a perfect God understands. When He takes someone home, it is the RIGHT time!}

27~~Yes this, we have searched it {chaqar}, so it is . . .
'hear, listen and obey' it
  {shama` - listen to doctrine},
and know/understand it
  {yada` - bible doctrine resident in your soul} . . .
for your good."
