Job
Chapter
27 and the Almighty, who has caused the bitterness of my soul . . . 3~~ as long as I have life/breath {n@shamah} in me . . .
as
long as the breath/spirit {ruwach} of God/'Elowahh my lips will not speak evil
and
my tongue will not utter deceit {Note: Job's problem is still that he can not understand the silence of God. He does not understand that Satan is cross-examining Job in the Supreme Court of Heaven. God set the rules and He will not interrupt Satan until Satan's defensive case is stated in full. Divine priorities belong to the Sovereignty of God and not to the volition of Job or any one of us. There is a reason why God has not yet vindicated Job.}
5~~'I
will never admit that you are right' Till I die, I {Job} will not deny my integrity. 6~~I will maintain my righteousness and never let it go. My conscience/heart/'right lobe' will not reproach me so long as I live.
{Verses
7-10: Expounds on the Lack of Honor and Integrity of His Three
Friends Job Will State it is His Three Friends who Lack Integrity by
Their Judging Him} my adversaries like the unjust. 8~~For what hope has the godless one when he is cut off (?) . . . when God/'Elowahh takes away his life/soul {nephesh}?
9~~Does
God/'El 'hear, listen and obey' { shama`} his cry 10~~Will he find delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God/'Elowahh at all times?
{Verses
11-23: Law of Volitional Responsibility} The Ways of the Almighty I will not conceal. 12~~You have all seen this yourselves.
Why
then your useless and stupid conversation? 13~~Here is the fate/portion that God/'El allots to the wicked . . . the heritage a ruthless man receives from the Almighty. 14~~However many his children, their fate is death - the sword. His offspring will never have enough to eat. 15~~The plague will bury those who survive him. And their widows will not weep for them.
16-17~~Though
he heaps up silver like dust, what he 'lays up'/hordes, the righteous will wear, and the innocent will divide 'his money'/'the silver'. 18~~The house he builds is like a moth's cocoon . . . like a hut made by a watchman. 19~~He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more. When he opens his eyes, his money is gone. 20~~Terrors overwhelm him like a flood . . . and a tempest snatches him away in the night. 21~~The east wind carries him off . . . and he is gone. It sweeps him out of his place.
22~~It
hurls itself against him without mercy 23~~It claps its hands in derision.
And,
hisses him out of his place {Note: Basically Job is saying that men are responsible for their own self-induced misery. But this is not what Job is experiencing right now.}
